I requested a quote from Leon Mege yesterday for this ring
I was amazed how cheap it was!! $2500 for a custom hand made ring…to me that is a really fair price. Now I have to decide if I want to do it in the rose gold or platinum. I really love rose gold and I love how not many people have it for an engagement ring, but platinum is more typical and goes with almost anything.

I think that setting in rose gold is too amazing to pass up and that’s what I would go with!

Lovely ring!! Rose godl is super pretty, and very in right now!

I love the rose gold too! That ring is STUNNING! Do you have a lot of silver jewelry though? I know some people don’t like to mix and match, so something to consider!

I vote platinum. It is much more classic and can be dressed up with a rose gold pave wedding band eventually.
Also, is the $2,500 just for the setting? Or is LM also supplying the center stone? Do give us some specs on your center stone!

i wanted rose gold SO bad but I wasn’t bold enough to do it! Go for it!

Is the price the same for rose or platinum? Platinum is a more expensive and durable metal, if you’re really getting it for the same price, I’d go platinum. You can always do a rose gold RHR or anniversary band 🙂

I have a white gold e-ring and a rose gold band, I get so many compliments on it!

Yes the price is just the setting and my center stone is going to be a cushion asha
@MizzStark1026: this is how I feel ha like I need to bold to go for the rose, but my personality is very bold and I feel like the rose gold is very “me”, I know I shouldnt let other people influence my decisions for what I like but 2 of my friends already told me to go for the platinum. My mom sister and cousin all love the rose gold.

Would they do it in platinum for the same price?! When I asked our jeweler for quotes on a setting only, it was almost double for platinum 🙁 Either way, I like the rose gold!

I’m amazed at the price, go rose gold!! Or unplated white, that’s what I did. Like a pale mix of all of them.

I LOVE rose gold (and have a RHR in rose gold) but it is way too soft a metal for me. My e-ring is platinum and it’s held up well. I like the look of the rose gold better, but for the long haul, platinum will hold up better.

Voted for platinum since it’s more timeless although I LOVE the look of rose gold!

$2,500 for the setting + wedding band, or just the setting? If it’s just the setting, that’s expensive, IMO…mine is platinum and has .24ct G-H, VS2 diamonds and was $1,300. I was contemplating getting a rose gold wedding band to go w/my e-ring, but IMO, rose gold is a huge trend right now and as much as I love it now, I don’t think I would in 30+ years…I vote for platinum…it’s timeless.
