@PrncssDva:  I had consistent chiropractic care through my pregnancy after slipping & throwing my pelvis out of place at 5 months.

I would seriously look into finding one! It can help labor to not be delayed and help bebe get into/be in optimal positioning for an easier birth!

Taking a daily warm/hot bath is the only thing that helps me these days with the aches.

try a chiropractor! i am going on thursday. although mostly to make sure i am aligned to make delivery better… but a few friends of mine swear by their chiro and will go to them before their family doc. most insurance covers it too 🙂

I go to a chiropractor and it has helped tremendously. Even if your insurance wont cover it, most have a self-pay rate that is discounted from the insurance rate – I use insurance now, but in the past I had only paid $20 per visit for the self pay rate (usually it is 20-45, but could vary depending on the area). I have scoliosis and so the weight shift in my body has really caused my back to hurt, not to mention the hip misalignment issues too – I’ve only gone to my new chiro 3 times and I already feel loads better, so I’d say it’s worth it. 🙂

Wow, I’m surprised no one has said this already…Call your OB!!!!!! Right now. Lower back pain can be early labor pain. At 33 weeks you don’t want to be taking any chances.

ETA: While you are contacting your OB, lie down and drink a full glass or two of water. If it’s early labor, sometimes this can stave it off until you get some medications in your system.

I’m having terrible back and hip pain, too, also mostly on my left side… sorry you are suffering with this, too!! I’m only 5 months, so I don’t even know why I have this now.

Anyway, I’ve been getting acupuncture, which has helped a bit. Nothing else (daily yoga, tylenol, warm baths) has even begun to touch the pain. If your OB says it’s not early labor or anything like that, I’d give acupuncture a try.
