So after many posts on here about brides worried that their bridesmaids won’t match, they might have tan lines, or they might have..god forbid..an unnatural haircolor..I had to share this.
My Maid of Honor is heavily tattoo’d. I am too, but not as much as her. She’s got the hands, the neck, legs…ect. She also has quite a few facial piercings including her dimples.
She is one of a kind. Beyond beautiful, yet unique.
She also happens to have a head tattoo, and shaved half her head today to let it shine.
When I saw it…I had to laugh. If I was most brides, I would probably be writing this post about how much I was freaking out.
I am not. I love this girl and don’t intend on treating my bridesmaids like Barbie dolls.
I just thought I’d share and remind everyone that these girls are not our slaves or dolls. They are human beings who have unique personalities and tastes that should be able to shine through…even on our wedding day.
PS. The picture below is of the day we met at a convention. We knew it was true love when we discovered we both have Kool-Aid tattoos.

@CreatureFromTheBlackLagoon: I wish I was ballsy enough to shave my head! This is my dream hairdo:
(Anya from Project Runway)
I am no where near cool enough to pull that off lol.
I’m with you on not treating your girls like barbies. I am being flexible with everything and everyone seems to really enjoy the whole process because of that.
My FI has 16 tattoos, but I have none. I’ve always wanted one…but it would be a small one and then I keep telling myself it’s not worth it. Maybe we’ll go together after we get married and each get a tattoo (NOT each other’s names though!)

Haha I love the Kool-Aid tattoos — that’s awesome that you both have one! That was like me and my friend (another girl) discovering we bother dressed up like the Dude (from The Big Lebowski) for Halloween. We knew we had to be friends!

@trueblue14: She is beautiful!
@BeeOi: Nope. That is her in both pictures!
@sunkissed19: I haven’t been tattoo’d in almost 10 years! I miss it! Good for you for being flexible!

@CreatureFromTheBlackLagoon: That is AWESOME! I love the fact that you both have Koolaid tattoos. And, you are brave for posting a pic with part of her rear end showing on here. 🙂
I like your attitude, and the way you gently brought the issue to everyone’s attention. Perspective is sometimes badly needed around here. 😉

@Mrs. Camel: This girl is like my sister from another mister.

I actually had the sides of my head shaved; it was back in the 80s though…

Both you and her are gorgeous women.

Haha You too, eh?
My little sister, who is a BM keeps giving herself buzz cuts and I also don’t care. She’s been doing this from time to time since she was 10 years old… So it’s no big shocker.
