I got airbrush makeup last weekend. My inspiration picture was one of Adele. I love how romantic and soft the colors are with the drama on the eyes. What I ended up with was less then my expectations. I just wasn’t wowed. I have very shiny/oily skin and I feel like she just put one layer of oil on top of another…all the moisturizers, the primers, the under eye creams. I expected airbursh to be light and natural. By the time I was done it felt caked on and heavy. Obviously, the difference between the before and after are drastic. No makeup at all to a TON. But I feel like I might be able to do a better job myself if I just purchase a quality foundation. What do the bees reccomend?

I don’t think she did enough cat eye with the liner. Other than that, it looks like the Adele pic (clear skin, bronzer, nude lip). TBH, your inspiration picture was very simple so your trial makeup looks simple. Maybe you’re wanting more color?

She just needs to amp up the eyes a bit more, more of a dramatic cat eye. Otheriwse it looks great, you’re glowing not greasy in the pics.

I agree with the others, you need a bit more makeup around the eyes. I think you look beautiful.

I agree with the other bees you need more on your eyes. you lip colour is pretty. go easy on the blush. make sure it’s blended. You look really pretty though.

Agree about needing more makeup around the eyes, but you look beautiful as-is! Love it!

I agree with the other bees, more emphasis on the eyes & maybe some contouring of the cheekbones. It’s hard to tell if you aren’t familiar with makeup techniques but Adele has a lot of cheekbone contouring in the picture. I will say that your makeup artist will need to add more blush the day of the wedding for picture purposes. The camera washes out a lot of the makeup. I thought this was silly when I heard it but so true. I did my own makeup for engagement pictures said that she put an excessive amount of blush on me. To the point that I felt silly, but my makeup looked flawless in pictures.

I think it looks great! Pretty

I think it looks lovely. As others said, the cat eye from the inspiration pic is much more dramatic. Another thing that differs from the inspiration pic is the blush….in the picture it’s a very subtle blush/nude pink colour, vs. on you she used more of a peachy colour. Both are pretty.
If you do want to DIY, there are lots of reviews for good oil control pre-foundation mattifiers or oil free foundations.
For a blush similar to the picture, Mac Tenderling comes to mind.

You look beautiful! Now go try it on with your veil and dress! I know you want to! =D

I also agree with the cheekbones contouring, the cat eye, the starting point of your eyebrows and more blush. just like IUrebekah3RT said the camera will wash you out

Yeah, I think it looks great!! Just contour the cheek a little and add more eyeliner. That’s basically exactly what I want to look like, I need to look into airbrush!
