I am so sorry to hear this. May your fabulous Manolos RIP. When I first got my furbaby, Noah, I lost a pair of Jimmy Choos to teething 🙁 I was sooo livid but he has not destroyed another pair of shoes since. Maybe he just needed that one naughty day to sustain him for life. On a brighter note, this means that you HAVE to get a new pair of Manolos, and we all know shoe shopping is awesome…just not the price.

DH thought it would be nice to surprise me with a Christmas present a few years ago… it was stocked with Godiva extra dark chocolate, coffee beans, a DVD and a few little things.  I came home from work to this mess…

Turns out my great dane Pearl thought it would be a good idea to EAT my chocolate and DANCE THE JIG over the coffee beans to really grind them into the beige carpet.  Luckily, she’s 120lbs so she didn’t get sick from the chocolate or caffeine.  DH was so upset, he said “I really wanted to surprise you!” and I said, “Oh, I was SHOCKED- you should have seen my face!”

She has also been able to pull things OFF THE TOP OF THE REFRIGERATOR!!!!  She makes confetti out of all the things.  The other dane and the 30lb mutt are good as gold, never get into anything, don’t chew things, and more or less mind their own business.  But Pearl, she is a spark plug.  A very destructive spark plug.

Oh my goodness, I would have flipped out on my sister! Our pittie, Max, ate my brand new cell phone the day after I got it. I turned around for a second and it was gone. Went out back to find it chewed in half.

Our other two, Charlie and Lilly, destroyed a couch one day when we left them home alone. We usually kennel them but thought ‘hey, let’s find out if they do okay out in the house’. Nope…the couch was completely demolished.

Oh no! RIP Manolos.  Our dog loves to eat a very specific brand of my pajama pants.  They’re from Target and they’re made of this thin, soft cotton material and they’re super comfy.  I could leave any of my other PJ pants on the floor and she won’t touch them.  But if those specific pants are even remotely close to the floor, they will be destroyed by the time I get home.  I know I should just stop buying them, but they’re so damn comfortable.

When I was with my Ex he had two resuce greyhounds they had sever seperation issues.

Well I had left my security pillow (a feather body pillow I had my whole life that I must have anight to sleep) in his bedroom. Well, one day we were painting his dinning room and it was raining so we put the dogs in his bed room. WHen we got done we found my pillow shredded to bits… I cried for a week.

@MrsPanda99:  A (faux) leather storage ottoman.  That was the point where I invested in a crate.  Although, in hindsight I did figure out *why* it happened – there had been a stack of books on top of said ottoman since the day I brought my dog home from the shelter.  About a month went by, and I put the books away…exposing the button-tufted top at the ottoman.  It dawned on me months later when I watched said dog tear the “buttons” off a Gingerbread Man stuffed animal that the top of that otttoman must have just been irresistable.

To his credit, the only shoes he’s destroyed were destined for Goodwill anyway.  And he’s counter-surfed only three times in 2.5 years – all three times for baked goods, so he obviously has a sweet tooth!

AW no! Bad pup!

When our dog was a puppy, in the time it took me to go upstairs and get a towel, he managed to get into my purse, eat my drivers license, visa and $15 in $5 bills.

Also, my DH made the mistake of leaving him out of the crate while he shovelled snow. He thew a pack of fliers in the house that he came across while shovelling…and came back in to this:
