Hi fellow bees a couple of months back I did a poll get opinions on which dress I should get, and asking for reviews from real people(not employees posing as genuine bride to be customers) and after a lot of doubting, and budgeting and looking at reviews, I finally picked a dress and went for it. I also went to Group USA to price dresses just in case the dress I received was worthless. I actually found a dress on clearance and while they were having a storewide 20% off sale. So I purchased it.
Well my dress from Dressily me was sent out on March 13th Tuesday. On March 16th Friday, when I got home from work, I found the door tag from Fedex. So I went to Fedex and sure enough, it was my dress. So of course I got it home and immediately pulled it out. I will say this. The dress I ordered has heavy rhinestones around the bust (a bejeweled look) and there are absolutely none on the dress I received. Instead there is sequence and beads which isn’t a big deal, because I already spoke to my seamstress about adding some bling at the hip, wear the skirt/ fluffy area starts (and I think I read on another review of them, that a dress with lots of jewels was replaced with sequences). Also I wear a size 10 jean, so my dress size is a 12, but I ordered a 16 just to be on the safe side. Well I didn’t take into consideration that it’s a corset back so, I didn’t need to order up that much, I could have ordered a 14, or really a 12 and it still would have fit just fine. so some little thing I did notice(seems like the pleating may not have been tucked in enough before sewing on the right waist), I don’t know if they actually are flaws because the dress needs to be taken in at least 2 inches on each side. But there are maybe 1 or 2 loose strands on the loops of the corset back. and a small finger print size make up looking stain inside of the dress(but honestly I may have done that when I pulled it out, because I had just done my make up in the car, to look good for dinner date with my FI)
I will say this, when ordering your dress online, try to have a backup plan just in case, and DO NOT have your heart set on the dress looking identical to the picture, for 1 because, the dress may not look the same on you as it does the model, and 2 because you are paying less than $500 so as my dad likes to say, you can’t expect a top of the line steak on a bologna sandwich budget. Also 3 because they are suppose to be a knockoff so of course they almost have to change it a little. As I mentioned at the beginning I bought a just in case dress. Also for me the only thing I was set on in looking for a dress was, it be mermaid/trumpet style and have bling. So of course I’m not too picky.
All in all taking all I mentioned into consideration, I would give Dressily me a 8.5 out of 10(because they said they didn’t have time to send me a picture before sending it out, and of course the sequence instead of jewels).
So without further ado. The pics are posted below; the 1st pic is the dress on their site. The rest are all mine. I hope this helps someone.
