I never thought this part of the wedding planning would give me so much grief! I LOVE MUSIC and have such an eclectic taste, plus my fiancé and I don’t really have a soppy song that is ‘ours’ aside from Fast Love/George Michael and all the songs that mean something to us are too inappropriate for a wedding ceremony or first dance…sooooooooooo, finally after listening to hundreds of songs and thinking about it, we have chosen the following:
My Maid/Matron of Honor and Bridesmaid or Best Man who are both professional singers, will sing me down the aisle and this is what they will sing ‘Eva Cassidy – Song Bird’ 🙂
For our first dance, we may start dancing to a Stevie Wonder or Bob Marley song and then the Middle East’s best Michael Jackson impersonator will come and join us, loooool! He will sing and dance for us, our favorite MJ tunes! We are both HUGE fans, as is most of our family. My fiancé is quite shy too, so I don’t want to put him through a long first dance…this is a great alternative.
Anyone else doing anything different for their first dance/ceremony music?
