My MOH is a graphic designer/artist and has worked on stationary and has kindly offered to design our wedding invitation set. I am so grateful for her to do this!
We’ve gone back and forth on ideas and wording, but this is what we have so far. She painted the flowers herself, and I will print using a service. We are still hammering out the Details insert so I won’t include that for now. Here is the invite and RSVP.
What do you think, Bees?
(Please ignore the extra lines around the invites, this is a screen shot of the PDF that included envelopes with our names printed on them.)
Wedding is in an outdoor garden near the coast, rustic kinda vibe.

Oh those are beautful! I love them!

The flowers are beautiful. She’s very talented! You are going to have lovely invitations.
Now, I’m old school, so here are a few things that bother me.
I don’t care for the lack capital letters on the words and then your names in all caps. Seems odd to me. The boldness of the all caps on your names and the lines around the date give off a different vibe than the romantic image of the flowers and the other font.
I’d like a comma between happiness and love.
The You Betcha! on the RSVP card bothers me too. I’m not big on slang on formal invites.

Those are gorgeous! I love those colors.

PaperQueen : exact same things are bothering me! Was literally gonna comment the same things before I saw your comment
But yes, overall, these are stunning invites and your MOH is super talented!

The art is BEAUTIFUL & your name is amazing, if I don’t say so myself! 😉
Some suggestions though.. I would make the first phrase a complete sentence & capitalize the P, insert a comma after happiness, & end the sentence with a period.

Thanks everyone! I agree, my MOH is very talented. I still can’t believe I get hand painted water color invitations!
Thanks for the suggestions, looking at more flowy fonts to use for our names.

It’s really pretty..I bet you’re super pleased with the outcome.

oh, I love it as is (sometimes long names look weird in fancy fonts- I struggled to find one that my full name- Dannielle- looked good in)!
I also LOVe that you put that it’s an outdoor reception to follow cause it lets guests appropriately dress for the climate 🙂 so thoughtful!

Very nice but I do not like “You betcha” part though

Very pretty. And such an extra special thing.

Very pretty, I agree with some PP’s Re: wording and boldness, but stunning invites.

Okay Bees updates to fonts and capitalization have been made. Also she adjusted the colors of the flowers to be more purple to reflect the ombré purple bridesmaids dresses that we will have.
Here are the new proofs!! I have included the details/accommodations cards as well. Please let me know if anything is confusing there or should be reworded.
Thanks for all your help Bees!

Monterey is spelled incorrectly on the invitation.
