yah finding one for my mom was so hard but she opted to get one a chinese custom made one that cost a little over 300 that she really loves so i guess it all worked out
My mom thought about wearing a Chinese custom made outfit as well, but decided against it since my father wasn't planning to dress up and I'm marrying a Caucasian. Even though we are going to have a tea ceremony, it was difficult finding her one since she's petite and only about 5'1.
yah if she was to get one, it would probably have to be custom-made for her like how my mom got hers. seriously tho, finding the MOB dress was harder then finding my wedding dress lol
We're still on the early side for MOB dresses, but my mom keeps emailing me dresses she is thinking of... they aren't traditional MOB dresses, though... and I hate them for totally different reasons than that they look too old. ;) Congrats on finding something you both like!
Well done! My mom is having the hardest time finding one right now. She is horrified by the ones that show cleavage and calls most of them "costumes!"
I don't want my Mom to look like a grandma! = ( She's not even 40 yet! Hopefully she finds one that she will love!
I know its such a pain! My mom is little, like 5'1 or something? And she's only 45 I want her to look good! Especially since our family from Bolivia are coming and they haven't seen her since she dropped a bunch of weight and grew out her hair. What's hard is she is very chesty and has like... no rib cage. She has a bit of a belly still and then tiny little legs. Its impossible finding her a dress!
Same! My mom just got this dress from Cache. She's going to be so beautiful!
The MOB dresses are AWFUL, aren't they?!? I have NO idea how I'm going to find THREE good ones for my Mom, my FMIL, and my FSMIL.

After searching through every store imaginable, and even going through lengths to order dresses for her online, she was FINALLY able to find a dress that she liked at Costa Mesa Plaza in Irvine, CA. Quite honestly, I had never even heard of the place until we randomly asked a person on the street.
I am so happy that my mom will not look like a grandma on the day of my wedding...haha. We even thought that if worse came to worse, we'd have to have something custom made, which would have cost an arm and a leg.
I was a bit intimated about going into Saks Fifth Avenue, but after she tried on the second to last dress we knew it was the one. Although it was a little over $300, it outbeat any of the Mother of the Brides dresses I even saw at many of the national bridal salons.
