my sister's MIL wore a SHORT TIGHT HOT PINK dress to her wedding. It was the talk of the night and we still talk about it two years later. she danced with her son to this long slow song.....too funny!
Your mom is hot and could totally pull off that dress but...not at your wedding so i feel your pain lol. Im sure you can find a dress for her that is sexy yet appropriate
If this is what being a "mother of the bride" looks like, then sign me up -- cause your mom is HOT! I can only hope to be half that beautiful when that day comes for me.
I think you're on to something... I think beading from neckline to toe and fitted would be stunning on her... I would only be careful/cautious of the slits in dresses. I think you or her were spot on gold tones for her, would really compliment her beautifully - but done a little differently than the dress you posted.

For some reason, I love the one-shoulder dress for her, she has great skin and is totally fit! Good luck and have fun!
ETA: I think something like the ones I posted allow her to still feel sexy and beautiful, but also elegant.

This is the dress I was going to get until the venue changed and was a little too informal. It shows all the colors it comes in as you scroll down the page. The dress is gorgeous and SO flattering!
I think these dresses are beautiful without showing to much skin but not covering to much up! :-) Oh & I tried to stay in the same color sceme as the dress shown above. & I watched the price and stayed in the 70-200 dollar zone.

The dress in the post is the one she wanted but is tooooo sexy. The color is perfect but I want her in something more sophisticated without being raunchy. Yea its my mommy and not my sister lol
Wow, your mom is VERY pretty! Maybe she could wear a mermaid-style gown? It would show off her great figure, but at the same time, be very elegant.
How about this one? It's got a slit, but isn't so form fitting. Sexy yet elegant.

i admit i looked at your pics a couple times b/c i didnt know if it was your or your mom... she is hot, but just tell her tone it down just for one day...you and your hubby should be talk of the town not what your momma wears...at least not for the ceremony

I love the dress your mother picked!!! Who is the maker of that creation? =) I'd love for my mother to wear something like that (especially if she might outshine my MIL, as we don't get along much. petty as it may be, I'd still like for my mumsy to outshine her on my special day).
Your mother has gorgeous skin and long limbs. I'm not quite sure what your price range is, but the dress looks expensive (unless you've managed to find it on sale, in which case thumbs up for you!)

(my gf has a dress similar to this, but she cinches the waist with a thin belt and it looks really great!)
I dunno..I really like that dress. Weddings are opportunities to look your finest and apparently this is something your mother enjoys doing...I'd let it go...

@littlelucygoose: I get that weddings are a chance to look nice, but not at the expense of the bride. I'm sorry this is not the club and even I had on more clothes at my wedding.

My mom is hot (see pics below) But she was wanting to sport a totally overly sexy attention grabbing gown at the wedding. Last I heard she was switching gowns, but now she won't show me what she's picked...
