Of course. Ok. Well, I love Florida, and I love the beach. Fiance is thinking it would be a perfect honeymoon spot! So I told my mom and she said that we could always go to the Bahamas for a few days too! COOL.

Lol. If you can tell, I love vacations. So our wedding is October 24, 2009. We could always wait a week and leave on like the 1st or 2nd of November.

How is the weather???????? I know I've googled it, I am just unsatisfied with my findings. So I really am looking to hear info from people who have experienced it during that time.

    Thank you.

I think FL weather might be on the cooler side during that time, including Bahamas.  It won't be as chilly as the weather gets where we are located on the map but it does get a litle nippy when the sun goes down.  The temperatures to the warmer places have definitely been shifting so maybe you might get lucky!

I don't know if they have data for the Bahamas, but you can always go back and see what the weather was like on that week in history..

Check weather dot com.  They have rainfall stats.

    I bet I know your secret..because I've also considered nassau/paradise island myself.

What part of Florida are you considering? I've lived in the St. Pete/Tampa area and near Ft. Lauderdale.  Weather is very hit or miss here, we will be transitioning to fall around that time and while the temperatures will probably be mild, it's probably not going to be what I would really consider tropical beach weather if that's what you're going for.  I usually stop going to the beach for actualy sunbathing around September at the latest.

Another thing to keep in mind is that hurricane season goes to November.  You'd probably be safe, but when I lived in South Florida we did get hit with several hurricanes in a row one year and lost power for 3 weeks in late October.

We have a timeshare in the Bahamas and I've been as late as November.  It's not cold at all, although it can get a little rainy (but usually only for a day).  Which island of the Bahamas are you thinking about going to?  There's a huge difference between the atmosphere in Nassau and the Grand Bahama Island.  One is definitely a party spot, while the other is more relaxed, although they still have a great nightlife!

Ooo, current Floridian here, possibly hit or miss but if you're in South Florida you should be fine. I think we had a weird cold snap in the beginning of November last year, but I've lived here for 14 years and that's the earliest I ever remember it being chilly. Ahhh, I should say that our "cold snap" was probably in the low 60s so I don't know if that counts for some people.

I have been there in December and it's perfectly fine - fortunately and unfortunately at times, we dont really have seasons ( besides hurricane season) in South Florida. Going in November might be a better option just because it diminishes your chances of getting hit by a hurricane since October is still a risky month ( Trust me I know, especuially since my wedding is in Miami in October - so I have a lot of praying to continue) Anyways, its actually nice to travel around that time to islands and stuff because the summer months can be miserable - just like it has been in Miami lately.GL! Are you staying in Paradise Island or considering one of the outward islands?

I'm a Floridian who lives in the Orlando area. Not where all the beaches are, but still. The weather here around that time is GORGEOUS. it's not too hot (like it is now) but only a little chilly, if that. It is hit or miss in the sense that we may get a cold front, we may not. I think it'd be even better to go to the beach at that time just because it's not so hot that you can't even take a breath, but that's just me.

There's so many places to see here, I'm sure you'll have a great time!

Ex-Floridian here---but going back for my wedding/honeymoon in November YAY!! And also the Nassau area! My wedding will actually take place on board the disney cruise while docked in Nassau!

I hope the weather is wonderful!  When I lived in Florida I agree with above posts sometimes its just too hot!  October/November (early Nov) are usually nice to be outside in the sun with a light shirt later when the sun goes down and it gets cooler.

South Florida and Nassau should be completely fine in October!  Keep me posted if you go so you can let me know before I head out in November from Texas!!!
