and gave me the downlow on what the lady told her about me....

My mom decided that she wanted to see a tarot card reader. Not for a specific reason but just to see what this lady had to say. She found her number in the local newspaper and called to make an appointement. My mom has gone in the past (actually when I was 2) and hasnt gone back since... so I wonder what initiated the whole thing.

This afternoon I saw my mom and she told me everything the lady told her. She talked about my sisters, my moms relationship, health and so on... and then gave she started about me

(She explained this was in a time frame 18-24 months)

At first she described me as a person (all this just with my name and birth date) It was actually scary how much she was dead on. To a T. Then it got a little more interesting. She mentionned that I was battling some issues about maternity and for that reason I was holding off for a bit. That I would be able to concieve and would have an easy pregnancy. But she wasnt seeing a baby in the near future.

She did not see any breakup, and my relationship was still stong. But did see a little boy in my future. This little boy would be very important to me. So my mom was like "Oh so she will have a boy?" The lady said "No, this isn't her child" huh? This intrigues me a whole lot

I find this really interesting and would love to see a tarot card reader. Maybe Ill give this lady a call...;) Im curious... aren't you?

Have you ever gone to a tarot card reader, or someone you know who shared the info about it. Do you believe in that? I know I do... ;) (well take a little, leave a little)

I'd like to see a tarot card reader, or palm reader, more for the fun of it than anything, but hubby thinks it's a huge waste of money. My mom has gone a couple of times, but I can't remember what they've said. Besides, imo, life is always changing so they can't really tell about what will happen, just what will happen if you continue on your current course, and mine is always changing! That's assuming they are even somewhat accurate, but they aren't something I would make a bet on lol

Ya, I dont know how pricey it is in the US... but my mom told me it cost her 60$ for an hour but she ended up staying for 1:45 mins.

Not so bad. I though it was more expensive

I'm always interested in it but I've never gone to one. I'm very curious about it but then I think there's a reason why we aren't supposed to know what's going to happen. I don't want to tempt or change fate.

My mom used to read cards (regular cards, not tarot) and I always found it fun when I was a kid but now for some reason it just makes me nervous. I dunno why. But I like hearing other peoples stories about it!

I have gone to one before with my friend.  It was fun but that was before I was in a relationship.  I have always been drawn to those things and I would want to go again, but I am afraid of what they would tell me!!  What if they said my FI and I wont last!  That would be scary.  But things change and all that, it would just be hard for me, i think.  Plus I want my FI to go to!  I think it would be a fun thing for him... who knows

I had my tarot cards read by an acquantaince in college who ended up being right on. It was creepy because he knew a lot about me just by looking at my cards and we had only met once or twice before. We ended up being great friends, though!

I'm not sure how much it cost here either, but even if it were only $1 my hubby would grimmace. Maybe he's secretly afraid of what the cards would say too :p He just has no belief in a higher force of life, so in turn also believes that life just happens and has no set course or path or fate or anything, which is I think why he finds it foolish. ah well.

I think it's BS in general. However....

When I was 17 there was a lot of crazy stuff going on so I went to see a wiccian high priestess (friend of my mothers) for a tarot reading and numeralogy. She said that the guy I was dating at the time was struggling with issues regarding his sexuality and that his mother would soon find out that she was a widow. Plus, that we would break-up and that I would meet an man with reddish hair in November.

That was in July. Well, she was right on. My guy discovered that he liked men, we broke up, his dad was murdered in Columbia AND I started dating a auburn haired guy in November. So strange.

I saw one a few years ago and she told me that I would marry a man with green eyes and I already knew him.  I told her she was crazy black men didn't have green eyes and the guy I was dating (a European) had dark brown eyes.  Well lo and behold I did have a friend with green eyes.  He and I had met on the internet a few months before the reading but never in person.  I had forgotten all about him and his eye color.  Well he and I met briefly December07/January 08.  We then went out on June 1 and have been together ever since.  I guess we'll see if she's right.

Reading tarot cards is a hobby for me.  My friends say that I'm pretty accurate.  They used to rave to people about me and then I started getting requests from strangers to do their tarot card readings.  I never liked doing it on command and so I stopped reading cards for several years.

A few months ago I ran accross a girl I knew from HS who went on to tell me that everything I told her in a reading I did for her years ago came true and wanted to know if I could read her cards again.  It was ackward for me....

I think everything should be taken with a grain of salt and you should be careful not to follow a certain path or make decisions based on what you are told.  I believe the tarot cards are a sneak peak into what could be, and that you should enjoy it but continue living your life.

I haven't quite decided whether I personally believe in this or not. I mostly observe to see if things actually come true (like deja vu).

My Mom and G'Mom read cards and have done so for me and my FI. When I listened to the results for my FI, some of them have come true and that is pretty scary. I have heard and seen things that my Mom and my g'mom have said or done that are nearly impossible. Sure they can be coincidences but it just doesn't make sense especially to the sceptical person like me.

For instance, my Mom had a dream of a young man laying dead in his house but she couldn't see his face to tell who it was... For an entire week she had called me saying that she was having this re-occuring dream. At the end of the week, the day or two after it happened, we had found out that my brother's great friend from high school had committed suicide.

The number of incidents can go on and on and they get crazier... I promise.

    @flamingo I know right?!

@chela429 I also believe that it is a glimpse in what could be not what has to be, don't base your life on what the cards tell you....
