My mother is and has been an amazing person in my life. So for me, it is just as important if not more important she feel just as beautiful on my wedding day as I hope I feel. My mom in her early seventies (certainly does not look it) has like mamy of us conceptions of what we wld prefer not to show (for her she thinks her upper arms are big-wants a jacket or sleeves to cover, long dress vs short, and wld not want a dress showing cleavage. For those wondering I haven’t found my dress yet either (we are quite alike, ha) but really want to start w/he so not all her time is running around Boston with me. Any suggestions appreciated with style and color (my bridesmaids are wearing cornflower blue) for April. Thanks for any help(:

Check out some of the other posts here re MOB dresses.
Most of the MOB’s have the same concerns
Try Dillards-look at their website to see the kind of MOB dresses they have.

Yes I would try Dillards.. they will have a great selection. Also you could try some of the bridal salons.. they usually have MOB dresses too.

My mom is in the same boat. Its been hard for her to find a dress since we are having a DW in Jamaica. She found a dress she loves in long sleeves and in black. She loves how she feels in it. At this point I want her to be happy, regardless if it fits the venue (or that she will be sweating alot).

My mom has had a very hard time finding a dress as well. She did have some luck at Macys. They don’t necessarily have the traditional MOB dresses but, rather, some different options as far as separates.

my mom is 50 and same thing with her, but we chose a black dress with a black lace bolero jacket and it is super pretty
