I love this idea! As far as clear cake stands, try goodwill or other misc. thrift stores! Sometimes they have them. Or Crate and Barrel, maybe an outlet if there's one near you! I can't imagine Walmart doesn't have them either... might give them a try. I have no idea about the 3-tier thing though! Good luck!
Thanks! I tried attaching the pic again, try the one that says martha_greencakes.... i also attached a link.
using your link, here is the pic......
they look so pretty.... love the clear glass stands, i think they look stunning
my mom has a set like this but she had them made specially (she has a cake business)... you could try looking around the wilton website... i'll do some digging and see what i come up with!

not sure how reputable the above company is, i've never heard of it, but the prices are pretty reasonable!
Hobby Lobby (I don't know if you have one of those near you) has clear cake stands in a ton of sizes, all around $20!
Awesome cakes, by the way! Isn't everything martha does just cute as a button? Love her :)

My cake is the one thing I decided on months ago and haven't budged on. I knew I wanted multiple cakes with different flavors, that are simple and on beautiful cake stands. I found this pic in a Martha mag, and got immediate butterflies in my stomach.
I am getting my cakes done at Publix in Sarasota, the small 2 tier cake will be red velvet and cream cheese frosting, the small round cake will be white cake with raspberry filling, and the square will be coconut cream (this one will have flowers and coconut shavings on top) mmmmm. SO EXCITED! These cakes are enough to feed about 80 of our 120 guests.
The rest of the desserts will be white choc and milk choc covered strawberries. My mom will be making some of her unbelievable cream cheese brownies and mini cheesecakes, as well as some smaller choc mousse pastries from a french bakery my friends' family owns. These (besides the strawbs) will be displayed on a 3 tier dessert stand. I love this dessert station idea, so if guests don't want cake, theres plenty of other goodies.
Any advice on where to buy clear cake stands, as well as the 3-tier stand?
