I just spent 20 minutes writing a review and the bee ate it!!!!! ugh. so here’s the abbreviated version.
I ordered a 70 page Classic (8.75″ x 11.25″) Photofinsh Hardcover with layflat pages and supergloss printing. The total would have been around $120 but I used a promo code and ended up with a $60 total including shipping.
I was very pleased with how quickly my order was processed and shipped. (ordered on the 13th and it was delievered on the 20th) I also appreciated the way that kept you updated every step of the way (order received, order is started, order is almost finished and order is shipped).
When it arrived I was very happy with the quality of the book. The cover was gorgeous, true to color with a satin finish (not glossy but shinier than matte). I really liked the finish of the cover because it has a sheen but not so glossy that it will show fingerprints. All of the sheets looked just like they did in the editing software. Nothing was off center or cut off (i did have one issue i’ll explain below). I like that they don’t brand their logo on the outside of the book (a logo and barcode are on the last page). I liked the velum end sheets they add a little something.
I’m glad I went with the layflat pages and supergloss printing an extra $20 and $10 respectively. They layflat pages were a must and they truly look great, you lose nothing in the gutter and two page spreads look amazing. The DH was sold on the supergloss printing while i was concerned it was too much for a wedding album. He was right they look great. basically the pages look just like glossy prints. the only downfall to me is the pages seem a bit thin, DH disagreed.
I did have one issue with some black spots on one page of the book. I contacted MyPublisher and they have sent me a promo code to reorder the book at no dost. which i did yesterday and the book was shipped this afternoon.
I will post pics if anyone asks
