@cyndistar3: Sally Hansen! I found out that by cutting them short every 2 weeks, they start to grow out stronger each time.

@cyndistar3:

Ugh, me too! I  started doing OPI Axxium Gel Polish about 6 months ago..and IT’S AWESOME! I started doing it at a nail salon..it was about $30 a visit (every two weeks) and then I bought the kit and light to do it at home (was around $200…steep, but it works awesomely for me..so it’s worth it) It’s not hard to do yourself, at all!

Pretty much, it’s a polish that is hardened by UV lights..It’s thicker than nail polish, so it doesnt chip. To get it off, you soak your nails in acetone (which sucks…) but if you keep the same color, you can fill it in like you would acrylics/file what grows down and it looks great!

(I’d show you a pic..but i just took it off my nails for a few weeks..and wouldnt you know, they’ve all chipped and broken using just regular nail polish..errrr!)

I use a product called “Starting Over After Artificials”…it strengthens your nails and promotes growth. 🙂

Yeah, I totally get that.

The good thing about the gel polish is that it’s still polish.. i dont have artificial nails attached to my real ones..and it’s easy to get the polish off to let my nails breathe when I need to 🙂

keep your nails painted– it really does help them from breaking.  Also make sure you’re consuming vitamin E and keep your nails and cuticles moisturized.  Dryness can cause peeling.

@cyndistar3: take prenatal vitamins! They will help your nails grow longer and get stronger and your hair too!

My nails are pretty healthy naturally, but I recently bought Nutra Nail Growth Formula and like it a lot (I got the green tea one). I really suggest it.  It isn’t a polish, but a clear liquid stuff that dries into your nails, kind of paste-like.  You put in on and underneath your nail and also on your cuticles.

@cyndistar3: I got it from a rite aid, and there are coupons on the site I linked to.  Good luck!
