That's terrible! This didn't happen to me, but I will admit that it was the first thing I checked when I got my invitation. Did she misspell your first or last name? and is it a common misspelling?
OUCH. I'd be livid that no one caught that.
But I'm sure the shower will be fun, no matter what. Try not to freak out too much!
I'm really fine (my Mom is livid because her friends did it). Its just unfortunate that of all the details, my name was the one they didn't get right!

I wouldn't care if my last name had been spelled wrong (because it always is), but spelling a first name incorrectly would be a little sad!
I feel for you. It didn't happen to me, because i had only one shower, that my BMs and mom threw for me. So they weren't going to spell my name wrong. But I could see that happening to me, if a family friend threw me a shower. My name gets misspelled or mispronounced all the time. My aunt bascially had my name wrong for the first eight years of my life.
Don't feel so bad . . . when my mom addressed the envelope to my only sister/sibling, she added a letter to her last name (and we all have the same last name!). I didn't fix it--I just mailed it. Not sure my sister noticed. You would think my mom would have gotten my SISTER's name right!
Oy. That would definitely upset me. People spell my name wrong all the time and it drives me nuts!

hasnt happened....but i doubt i'll be having alot of showers anyhow.
i'd feel...just like you said. disappointed.

I just got an invitation in the mail to my first shower (hosted by my Mom's friends). Fantastic, except, my name was spelled WRONG! My Mom is so mad and I'm just disappointed. Has this happened to anyone else?
