I am still getting used to the idea of being ENGAGED, as of Saturday. It’s so wonderful to have shared this moment with my amazing fiance. We also have a beautiful, handmade, custom-designed ring. It’s quite non-traditional, as it has a ruby (a natural, untreated stone) and is cast in yellow gold, which is not as popular these days. There are two leafy vines that intertwine around it, hugging the stone in the center. In my opinion, there is nothing that would have suited me better. Ruby is also my birth stone, for what that’s worth. I can’t believe I am so showy with this post, but I hope you’ll understand.

I love your ring. Red stones are my absolute fav. And I love the yellow gold. I think yellow gold offsets red stones so beautifully. Beautiful detailing on a beautiful ring. Congrats on being engaged. 🙂

I already commented on your ring but I will say it again – it is gorgeous! Untraditional, organic looking, yellow gold, a coloured stone (and a ruby at that!) – all things I love in rings!

It’s beautiful and so unique! Don’t let anyone make you feel like yellow gold is “unpopular”. It looks fabulous!!!
