What is the cost?  $51/person (over 21) and that includes beer and wine.  It’s $15 less for people ages 10-20 and free for under 10.

How many people?  We are hoping for 175 but so far no one has RSVP’d no.  It might end up at 200.

What type of menu?  Buffet with beef tenderloin, chicken breasts in a tomato/cream/artichoke sauce, roasted red skin potatoes, tomato/cucumber/basil salad, vegetable medley, fresh fruit trays

Where is your wedding?  In Milwaukee, at a popular venue on the lake.

Total is going to be just under $9000.

What is the cost?  15,000

How many people?  160

What type of menu?  Sit down, a la minute cooked.  beef, chicken, vegetarian.

Where is your wedding?  Washington, DC at a national park.

Does not include: dessert, booze.
Does include: chairs, tables, linens, glassware.

not sure i count here…hubby is the manager of a catering company and his boss is giving us one heckofadeal…

WHAT IS THE COST: $5.50/person

HOW MANY PEOPLE: we’re counting on about 100 – so $550

WHAT TYPE OF MENU: Rosemary Pork Tenderloin, Lemon Basil Chicken, mashed red potatoes, corn, vegetable medly, salad, bread – and our cake is included in all this too.

WHERE IS YOUR WEDDING: downtown indianapolis at the fabulous MAVRIS center.

so catering is only $550

alcohol has to be through the center though – it’s about $1200 for unlimited soft drinks/water and 3 kegs of beer + cash bar.

What is the cost? $45 for chicken, $48 for filet mignon – includes alcohol, cocktail hour food & desserts

How many people?  Between 85 – 100

What type of menu? Appetizers – 2 passed apps, veggie, fruit & cheese display & crab dip; Dinner – choice of filet mignon or blue cheese stuff chicken with mashed potatoes & asparagus; Dessert – smores, chocolate fountain & brownies; Alcohol – 2 domestic beers, 3 types of wine, basic liquor & one cordial.

Where is your wedding?  In Maryland, in the subarbs outside of Baltimore

What Type of Menu: Cocktail Reception, so many finger foods its fab! (too many to list)

What is the cost?   $5,000

How many people?  180

What type of menu?  Buffet with a beef, chicken, and fish options and an hour long cocktail hour with 5 types of appetizers (Fruit tray, cheese tray, and three passed options)

Where is your wedding? Melbourne Florida

That is just for the food and appetizers.  It does include linen napkins, a centerpiece for the food table, and pouring of the champagne and cutting of the cake.

Our venue is covering the drinks.

June bride – 5.50 a person!  That’s pretty amazing.

Mine is weird.  I am paying 38 a person, but that doesn’t include alcohol.  It includes 3 menu item buffet, bartenders, linens, dishes, servers, appetizers (4), a dj for 5.5 hours & an ice sculpture.

We are allowed to bring in our own alcohol, which comes out to like 6 a person.. so I guess we are paying 44 a person, but it includes a dj worth 1000 +, a 250 dollar ice sculpture & more appetizers than we would have purchased…

Our buffet will be a grilled & marinated chicken breast, carving station w/ pork tenderloin w/ burbon sauce & a baked white lasagna.. we get one veggie, one starch, salads & rolls, coffee, soft drinks & all the mixers for our alcoholic beverages (even weird ones like sour mix, pineapple juice & OJ)  Our appetizers are a fruit, cheese and crackers spread w/ spanikopita & meatballs as the hot appetizers.

Ours includes a free champagne toast for the bridal party, and there are no cake cutting fees, corking fees or anything like that.  All in all our food & alcohol, dj & ice sculpture for around 160 people will be around 7000.

Not too shabby.  We are having the wedding in Cleveland Ohio, and the recption in Akron (about 30 mintues south)

Chillmer – I visited Milwaukee a LOT.. I was working on the old Pabst Brewery renovation plan.  I think I know where you might be having your reception – is it at a cool restaurant w/ a big patio on the lake, near the art musuem?  Just curious.. that was an amazing restaurant.  I liked Milwaukee a lot.

What is the cost? About $14k total, for all food/bar/service costs. The bar tab is $26/pp for beer/wine, and $32/pp for full open bar. Kids meals are $8.95.

How many people? 75 adults, 10 children

What type of menu? Formal, full service plated dinner. Cocktail hour with passed appetizers and stationary appetizers, 4 course dinner and dessert.

Where is your wedding? Peaks Island, Maine, at an oceanfront venue. Our service costs are considerably higher because we are getting married on an island, and they basically have to transport a full kitchen and staff out via ferry. The cost above includes all linens, all taxes, service fees, etc. Doesn’t include the venue fee, which is $2500.

What is the cost? $7.75/person

How many people?  500 (Although, we’re still battling on the guest list.)

What type of menu? Roast beef, mashed potatoes, etc… (FI won’t stray much from what others in the family have done for 20 years.)

Where is your wedding?  Kansas

I guess there are some perks to living in a rural area!

type of menu- appitizers: shrimp cocktail, chicken and steak skewers, salmon on toast, etc. buffet: salmon, chicken, roast beef, 2 kinds of mashed potatoes, rice, veggies, salad, and roles. includes iced tea, coffee, and water. didn’t include dessert.

Mine is 67/person, which is a cocktail hour with served appetizers, buffet dinner, wedding cake, 4 hours of open bar, and champagne.

We’ll have 50-60 people. I think the dinner is salmon, beef, and chicken? It’s not filet mignon 🙂
