Aww, what a sweetheart face - I'm so sorry for your loss. My co-worker's girlfriend had to put down her dog this weekend, too. I've lost several dogs and know that it's like the pain of losing a family member. Big hugs. She is in a better place.
I got teary, too. *Hugs* We had to put a dog down a few months ago (had him 14 years!) so I know how hard it is! She is in a better place and I'm sure you guys gave her the best life possible!

I'm sorry. That's the worst part about owning a pet. I know I've gotten teary-eyed a few times just thinking about my little boy having to go eventually.
I'm so sorry for your loss 
It helps to cry it out, it did for me when my Mom put my 2 dogs to sleep. They're in a better place now.
oh my god, thats the worst.. i am so sorry... i still get choked up thinking about my first dog.. you have to just remember the good times and know that she had a good, happy life.
I'm so, so sorry. My heart goes out to you--it's always crushingly heartbreaking to lose a pet. No words of comfort usually help the situation, either, but you'll always have the fond, happy memories!
I'm very sorry. My FI's parents had to put down their 19 yr old dog mid last year so I know how hard it is. Thank you though for choosing the path that set them free, that's a very noble and selfless thing to do. It's so hard, but when it's time, they let us know.

I'm so sorry to hear about Maddie, pets touch our lives and our hearts. I'm glad to hear she's not hurting anymore though. That's a true expression of love, to know and do the best thing for them, even when it hurts you. I hope your day gets a little brighter!

Oh honey, I'm so sorry. I've been through it twice in the last year (my dog, and my parents' dog, that I grew up with), and it's HARD to let them go, even with the peace knowing they are no longer suffering. Dogs really have a way of wiggling into our hearts, don' they? (((Hugs to you and your family.)))

I actually started crying from your post because I am kinda at the point with my dog where the decision is going to be made soon. And I am having a lot of difficulty with it!
