Just some background info: My periods are pretty regular. I get one every 4-5 weeks and it usually comes with severe cramping / pain (I take Advil every month and it helps). Typically lasts about 5 days.
This month I started my period on time. However, for the first time in 10 years I had absolutely no cramping or pain at all. It was great. It started to get lighter around day 6 which is normal for me. But since then I have continued to have light spotting and it’s not going away.
I called Dr. Linscomb on day 10 and they told me I was fine. But now it has been 15 days since I started and I’m beginning to get worried. Should I be? I mean is this normal?
Is it possible that it was something else altogether (and not acutally a period)?? If anyone has any experience with this type of thing please let me know!

I’d definitely go in for an exam–I bled for 21 days straight when I was very young (15) and ended up going on the pill as a result. Now, I’m regular as the almanac (which I love).

Are you on B/C pills by any chance?

I’d call the doctor again tomorrow.

I’d go to the doctor to have an examination. Wish you the best!

I would go get it checked out. Even if it is light you could become anemic with bleeding too long.

I don’t have regualr one’s either. Did you start on the pill or any other medication? When i started on the pill after pretty much not ovulating or getting a period all thru college, I bled for about a month. My dr said it was normal.

I am not on any kind of birth control at all. Let me just say that my FI and I are careful, but there’s always the possibility… (We are not trying to conceive, but I wouldn’t be upset if I happened to get pregnant).
So, I suppose what I’m really wondering is, is it possible that I could have had a miscarriage without knowing it??

Hmm do you have PCOS or anything? I’ve been known to have mine for months on end. The Dr just gives me some pills to stop it. Sometimes it doesn’t come for months at a time too.
You should see a Dr asap. Uterine health is so important. Be careful of cancer etc. Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you!

What’s PCOS? I called the Doc today but their next available appointment time isn’t for 2 weeks. 🙁 Hoping it goes away soon..

It is possible that it is something….or nothing. Something similar happened to me once and it ended up being fibroids. However, I had very heavy bleeding for about 1 month. If the bleeding is light there probably isn’t much to worry about while waiting for the appointment in 2 weeks. Even if the bleeding stops you should keep the appointment. There are lots of things it could be…or not be (as in, it may just be a random thing).
