So I was supposed to get my pd. on Monday and it is Friday. Some people might not consider that odd, however since I was 12 I have been so ridiculously regular that it comes within +/- 1 day. I also feel like I have to pee alot. I took a preg. test last night, however I think it was all water (diluted urine) and it was negative. I took one this morning because I thought I'd have a stronger urine (more hcg) and it was still negative. So, why is my period so late? I am not stressing out at all either, so it's not stress. I didn't get any symptoms of my pd. the week before like usual except for some breaking out. Also, my husband doubts I'm pregnant because we used a condom every time except one but that one time he didn't even well, you know...sorry tmi. I just need help, it's more of whether I actually have something else wrong with me. I feel fine though, actually good, because the last two weeks I have been working out all the time and eating healthy. I lost 6 pounds in two weeks, not sure if that could be it. Sorry for the long post, any help greatly appreciated!

could be a lot of factors...

i just wanted to say tho, on the preg test thingy, one of my friends was having similar symptoms and took a test and it was neg.  then 2 weeks later took another test and it was positive....turns out she was around 4 wks pregnant when it finally was positive...

i'm not saying you are or arent, just that it's something to think about....

in any case, a call to your doctor wouldnt hurt none...

it could be your change in diet and exercise too...dunno...

I've heard that working out can change your cycle, maybe that's just it?

Weight loss, stress and other factors can cause your period to be late. I, like you had an extremely regular cycle but the week before my wedding it was 3 days late (I'm sure due to stress). However, like PP have said maybe the tests just aren't registering yet. I'd give it a few more days and then test again. If you still get a negative you should call your doc, because something is going on pregnancy or not.

Well, first of all, condoms are only 85% effective over the long haul. And just because he doesn't finish in you doesn't mean you can't get pregnant...sperm exists in pre-ejaculation fluid.

6 pounds in 2 weeks is more weight than is recommended and could totally be throwing your body for a loop. I'd give it a few days, test again, and call up your gynecologist and mention how strange it is.

It's probably the unhealthy amount of weight that you lost, but you could definitely be pregnant (one of the symptoms is frequent urination). Like the other ladies said, wait a few days and retest.

Also, if I were you, i'd look into a more effective method of birth control!! (and, I got pregnant taking the pill perfectly, so "using a condom every time" definitely doesn't mean you are covered and in the clear)

@crayfish: I've worked out for two weeks straight and have eaten healthier and I don't think six pounds is unhealthy at all. I weigh 170 now as opposed to 176. I eat 1500 calories or so a day and swim my butt off. I think I just needed a jump start. I highly doubt however that 3 pounds a week is unhealthy.

With that said, my husband and I are not planning to be pregnant but would welcome a baby. I have never been unsafe when it comes to sex.

I'm also ridiculously regular, and a few months ago my period was 10 days late.  I wasn't stressed, sick, no big changes at all really.  It was just late, and I've been regular since then.  Sometimes you're just late, and there's really no reason.

@Boston Bee:That's good to know...I'm hoping that's what it is, but I just want it to get here. My husband keeps saying, you're not pregnant, but I'm like you don't understand how "regular" I am. Never in my life have I been this late, that's the only reason I'm worrying. Thanks for your help!

Maybe take this as a blessing in disguise if you are worried and not excited about the possibility of being pregnant.

@ejs4y8:Let me just say, I would be beyond THRILLED to be pregnant...I was just saying it wasn't the best time for us because my husband doesn't finish his pHD until June and then will have a job after that. It would be better for insurance reasons and all.

@MacFaniam24: 6lbs in two weeks is absolutely not unhealthy.  I was a boxer and had to make weight for several fights, and my doctor always told me anything mroe than 5lbs a week would be deemed unsafe.  That being said, if you arent used to losing weight that COULD be the reason.  What I would do is call your doctor or a clinic for a blood test to be 100% sure.  You're probably ok, but put your mind to rest.

I agree with others.  Wait a few more days and then re-test.  I was always regular and then got off the pill 3 months ago.  We went to Amesterdam last month the week of my PM and it screwed things up.  It was a week late.  I think it was because of the time changes and my body trying to get use to being off the pill.  I too agree that the workout could be it.

@vintage2010:I stopped taking the pill right after my wedding in July because I wanted to 'wean' my body off of it...however the past three months were right on time as scheduled. So maybe it is just an off month.
