I’ve posted before about how I have Lyme. Well they inserted a picc line, a semi permanent iv line, to start me on new antibiotics. Life has been very difficult since I was diagnosed. My whole world was flipped upside down. I have come to accept that it may be a very long time before I am as active as I was.
I still suffer from the neurological issues, they have not subsided. However, the debilitating pain is livable now. Now that they’re taking this line out, my life can begin to resemble some normalcy. I’ll have to have my levels checked every few months but at least there won’t be plastic tubes hanging from my arms.
Life with Lyme is and will continue to be a struggle but now I can face it head on with out this obstacle. I’ve already done my part on spreading awareness.
I’m just so friggin happy. I haven’t been hopeful in a bit. It feels great.
