    Hey Bee's!

    So this past week I set up a few Make Up Trials. One with AIRBRUSH MAKEUP and the other with MAC MAKEUP. I was going to do my own makeup because I am seriously crazy picky but in the end..there is no way I would be able to calm down enough to do my own makeup without shakey hands on my wedding day! Embarassed

    I thought I'd post some pictures from my Makeup Trial, I'd love to know what you think!? Just a quick note: I am very much into makeup and glam, so I wanted a dramatic look with big lashes but at the same time I don't want to look like a "Drag Queen".lol

    Here is what I look like daily when I do my own makeup (so you get what I usually look like).

    Based on these pictures, I'd go with MAC. The colors are much more flattering and to be honest, the airbrush artist DID do your makeup like a drag queen! Not that you look like a man or anything, but it's just a LOT going on. The MAC looks pretty though.

    I think I like the 2nd one better. Although you look beautiful in both, you have such flawless skin!

    I prefer the MAC makeup - not even sure what is standing out for me, but I think it's gorgeous.

    MAC looks awesome. Airbrush just looks... I don't know, not quite right.

    Yeah the MAC is still a statement, but is more wedding appropriate.

    The MAC makeup looks WAY better!  It's much more natural looking.  For some reason the airbrush makeup is just too much.  You have such beautiful features and the airbrushed look doesn't highlight them!

    I like your day to day makeup best but the MAC is more dramatic which is the look it sounds like you are going for. You are gorgeous!

    MAC for sure!!! All I saw in the airbrush pics was makeup. The MAC, while dramatic, made me think 1st "Wow she looks really pretty" then "Ooh cool makeup!"

    Thanks sooo much for your honest opinions!!!

    I was really upset after my Airbrush makeup because I really wanted airbrush style..but it looked so heavy on me and too pale... I am half african american and I think MAC makeup has more of a glow.

    @April_Fools_Bride:

    I think that is the real issue. The airbrush makeup is a shade to light for your skin tone and is completely washing you out. The MAC however is stunning.

    Love the MAC!! The first one is too much makeup, I think it wears you. The second looks amazing and your eyes just shine!

    @April_Fools_Bride:

    Yes, the color is just a little too light, plus, the blacks of the eyeshadow just do nothing for your skin but the bronzes in the MAC makeup make you glow.

    I think Mac is a clear winner here.. I feel so much better with your girls support. I just needed some honest opinions.

    AGREED PLANTAINS!! I wonder if other girls with colored skin also had this problem with AIRBRUSH MAKEUP? Maybe mac Makeup is better for women of color?!

    Does Mac Makeup stay on though? Hoping it does as well as Airbrush!

    the MAC artist is better, but I think your own makeup looks great.  You could easily add a touch more eyeshadow and experiment with falsh eyelashes and a little bronzer and you'd be good to go.

    Thanks Bee's!

    Well it's good to know that you think my daily makeup is ok also, cuz just INCASE..WORSE CASE PROBLEM.. if my makeup artist goes mia or something, I can practice on myself if I have to end up doing my own makeup. But I'm deff planning on hiring the MAC makeup artist now.

    @April_Fools_Bride: MAC is definitely good for staying on a while.  My friend used to work on MTV and they used MAC products on everyone.  Just make sure your makeup artist is doing all the steps to seal in the makeup (i.e., moisturizer, primer, setting powder) and have one of your bridesmaids carry a purse with touch-up makeup (like lipglass, powder compact, maybe a concealer stick) so you can keep it looking fresh for the whole reception.

    @April_Fools_Bride:

    We wore MAC makeup at my best friends wedding in July last summer and it was still intact by the end of the night! I have dark skin and have foiund that MAC tends to work out best and photograohs beautifully.

    I'm so glad to hear that Plantains!

    I also wanted all the BEE's on here to know, I DO NOT have flawless skin in real life but I'm so happy it looks that way with my makeup. I want to be honest and real to the other bee's who go through what I go through sadly.... I have rosacea, acne and seriously sensitive skin. Good makeup helps it so much. Thank god! lol

    Everyone can look flawless, it's just knowing how to do it and the right foundation! ;-)

    I think the problem with the airbrush is the color eyeshadow.  It's way too dark for a wedding.  You also look really good with the pink in your usual make-up and they didn't make you rosy enough!

    I think the MAC looks great!

    I think artist #1 didn't blend the eye makeup very well, and the color is pretty harsh.

    Artist #2 is bold, but the colors complement your hair and skin tone much better.

    The MAC looks great, but I think the bronzer/blush is a bit too orange.

    I love love your MAC makeup. Seriously. Your eyes are stunning.

    And I like your every day makeup.

    I just don't like the airbrush as much because I feel, like others have said, the colors aren't blended well in the eyes and the foundation is too light of a shade for you.

    definitely the MAC, it's gorgeous! The airbrush artist did wayyyyy too much and it does not flatter your features at all. You are beautiful in the original pic too, so either do your own or hire Miss MAC! :) Good luck
