I think it's great! You see definition of your eyes and lips and bone structure but you don't think "that's great MAKEUP"..you think that bride looks glowy and lovely.
Don't you just love Laura Mercier? I'm not a makeup person, and I'm totally sold!
Yeah! I do love it! My Fiance likes hardly anything and I told him it wouldn't look like much in photos.
Oh BTW he just let me know that I didn't tell any of the Bees what a good little Fiance he was and sat there with me for over an hour patiently not saying a thing, just nodding! lol.
Thanks!
tmarie, I'm with you, my FH doesn't like me to wear anything either! But I will look like a ghost in my pictures without any. I'll probably do the same thing, since i have no clue what I'm doing. I never wear make-up, just usually mascara!
You look beautiful tmarie! I am definitely checking out Laura Mercier makeup since so many Bees swear by it.....and I love your necklace, it's stunning!!
Love the makeup and hair! Just not sure about the necklace though. It's so large and dark that it's taking the focal point away from your pretty face. All I see is the necklace, no matter how hard I try to look at your face. I'm not saying I don't like it, just that it's competing a bit for attention.
I really like the necklace!!! I don't think a lot of women could pull that necklace off, but you do!
You are gonna be a gorgeous bride!
Ah so much love...Thank you bees! The necklace is definitely a statement eh? I've had mixed feelings about it from time to time but since my Fiance picked it out; I'm embracing it and I'm not gonna lie... I'm kinda a dramatic over the top girl anyhow! Yes the Make-up was great though lots of coverage, you can hardly see my brown pigmentation patches! Woowho...
I agree that the makeup looks great and necklace is awesome.
One thing I notice- shine!
In my pro pics I wasn't shiny- but in a lot of the guest photos I looked really shiny (it might be the harsh flash on the point and shoots).
You might want to look into some mattifying makeup (foundation, powder) or blotting papers to keep it to a minimum.
I'm only saying this because there were a few guest photos that would have been awesome if not for the glare from my shiny skin!
I think your make up looks really good. I have oily skin but there is a difference when it's oily shiny and when its like a luminous shine. I think the slight luminous looks good! Depends on how you want your pictures to look. Some people do like the glamourous shots that are mattifying which is not bad either.
Love the jewelry just not sure about having both the dangling earrings + necklace. maybe you could go with studs with the necklace?
I actually have dry skin because I use topical Retinoids for wrinkle control and the makeup was done 5hrs before the pictures (after dinner with the FIL's). Also I bought the illuminating silk foundation but matte translucent powder and bronzer. My artist was great I kept telling him it had to be humidity and tear proof. I thought it held up pretty well for 5hrs later but I make take the matter powder with me to do a touch up.
Thanks everyone for your feedback! Definitely thinking about the earrings, it's a set but big white pearls would go nice??
Oh I know, does anyone else think my eyebrows are just a bit dark? Was kinda much for a girl that doesn't usually do much to them?
I didn't think the brows looked too dark, but since we didn't see a before, I don't know if it will be obvious to people who know you.
I think big pearl earrings would be a perfect compliment to the necklace.

So I spent an ungodly amount of $ today at the Laura Mercier counter to do my own make-up for our DW. I don't feel too bad for a few reasons:
1. I have never had my Make-up done and bought the products before.
2. As a dermatologist I use only high end products/skin care so why not Make-up too?
3. I have never before used/owned things like: Camoflauge, Secret brightner, translucent powder, nice brushes, bronzer, eyebrow gel etc..
4. Mrs. Bee swears by her face line...lol
Of course then I had to put my jewelry on, fix my hair like I want it and put on the corset to my dress. Sooooo.....Whatcha think? I'm good with criticism, advice Bees?
