- Wedding: April 2012
So since the “theme” of our wedding is the love story between Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning I wanted to carry the poetry throughout the wedding. Our invites have a quote from Robert Browning – our menus (1 per guest) each have a unique quote half from Elizabeth and half from Robert, we have magnetic poetry kits, our signs for the handkerchiefs and guest book are quotes, the thank you tags for our favors, our bev naps are embossed with a Robert Browning quote etc etc
But one of the simplest projects is my favorite. We knew that the table numbers we were going to pick individual sonnets from Sonnets from the Portuguese and use the number with the sonnet. I did not want to frame them because I wanted the guests to be able to pass it around and read the poetry if they wished
So these will be going on simple stands – but I love how they turned out. The bird logo is also on our escort cards, I just made it more transparent on the table number.
The cardstock is from paperandmore.com and is a pearlized champagne that we used for all of the menus/cards/tags/signs
so do I need to put a cardstock backing on them or just leave them simple?
