I’m getting married in Bali next year and have been quoted $350 aud ($325 usd) for this cake (incl delivery to venue).
The bottom tier is 40cm (fake), the second tier is 30cm and the top tier is 20cm in diameter. It is supposed to be sufficient to feed 50 people. Does this sound good to you?
I have no clue what cakes should cost as I’m new to wedding planning so please help!

The cake is absolutely gorgeous! I think the price is reasonable, as it also includes delivery and set-up. Mine was two tiers and was around $200, if I remember correctly.

springweddingbee: That sounds reasonable. I’m in the UK and we’re having a 4 tier cake with a separate cutting cake with 130 servings in total, plus 12 gluten-free cup-cakes, and Inc set-up and delivery and hire of a stand we’re paying £460 which is approx 740 USD

I’m a cake decorator and can confirm you are not getting ripped off. 🙂

I had a three-tier cake (all cake with different flavors for each layer). A 12in round on bottom, a 9in round for the middle, and a 6in on top. Mine was $200. But no delivery, my friend had to pick it up for me and set it on the cake table. Basically you are getting two tiers for $325 since the bottom is fake. I personally wouldn’t pay that much but it also depends on your location.

springweddingbee: it’s a good price, you’d pay more here at most places (Australia) for that cake. I do cake decorating on the side too.
