That cake is beautiful and for him to give you a cake topper is so sweet!
It isnt supposed to be a cake topper, it is from one of those glass stores at the mall, it sits oin a little round mirror! We decided to use it as a cake topper waaay after the fact!
Your cake is beautiful! I'm biased, of course, because it's precisely the style we'll have. I saw a simple sugared cake long before getting engaged, and immediately fell in love. Ours will be very small -- two petite tiers -- beause it's just for the two of us (we're doing a delicious dessert table). Did you enjoy the taste and texture?

we had a GREAT response to the crunchy glittery outside. I loved how classic and special it was! I got the idea from one of the bees (Mrs. kitten I think) and our baker did an awesome job!
I want to see other unique cakes on here!

ladies- here is my cake! (It is buttercream and sparkling sugar and edible glitter. no fondant!
So here is the challenge- post a pic of a cake that isn’t on weddingbee already! (10 bonus points if it is yours married bees)
and here is the topper. DH gave this to me 9 years ago on our first christmas.
