So I know a lot of you bees have been waiting for my recap! I'm still waiting on all the photos from our photographer, but I do have a good handful of photos from our guests, and a few preview shots from our photographer, so it was a good time to start this thread!
We had a Princess and the Frog themed wedding, at a castle banquet hall, with little touches from the movie throughout! For all the Disney themed details, check out my THEME THREAD HERE. We also did a Princess and the Frog themed engagmemnt photoshoot! We used those photos in our guestbook. Engagement Photos are in THIS THREAD HERE.
The weather was pretty gloomy on our wedding day but we got some nice pictures outside anyway. I had an amazing time, and I felt like a princess!
Here are some pictures from our guests and my cell phone.

And here are some preview pictures from our photographer.

Wow, everything turned out beautifully! I LOVE the guestbook!! Congratulations!!
@nashanta: All those details are TDF! Love the cake, guest book, and nail polish. Looks like everything really came together in an incredibly classy way!
The theme of your wedding came together very well. I definitely looked forward to seeing your pics. Great job!!!
@nashanta: Congratulations!!! The photos are great! Can't wait to see more.
You just did such a supurb job with this theme!! I love themed weddings, and you seemed to get everything just right (plus look really beautiful in your dress)! I hope you're in some sort of career where you get to use your creativity, because everything just looks amazing! :)
Aboslutely stunning! You did an amazing job with the theme. *swoon*
Congratulations! I love your dress - the look came together so nicely with your theme!
Thanks for sharing your wedding pictures with us. I really like the lights on your dance floor. What kind of dance where you two doing when you had your hands extended?
I think your hair clip is very pretty and I like the table decorations. So you used similiar colors as were are using. We were doing a princess and the frog theme but my FI shared it with some of his friends and they teased him that he was a Frog so now he just wants to keep with the colors and fairytale type theme, but without the frogs (hehehe)
Our colors are lavendar, sage, and silver as an accent color. I am actually making a brooch bouquet that I am almost finished making that is lavendar and sageI have already borrowed some of your ideas such as the lilypad centerpieces and can't wait to continue to use you as my inspiration.
I love all of the touches! You did a great job pulling in the theme in beautiful and unique ways! I can't wait to see more!
What an amazing idea for the guest book! So cute! Looks like a beautiful day - congrats!
LOVE how everything came together. You guys look so happy! Can't wait to see more. Congrats Mrs
Thanks everyone for all the wonderful comments! I LOVED the lights on the dance floor, was just like the fireflies in the movie (I thought), and you can't see it in any of the pictures but there's a night sky paiting on the ceiling above the dancefloor. Everything about the venue just went so well with our theme!
@TinaJade: Actually, I'm a full time graphic designer, and I just started a home business where I make handcrafted jewelry! So I sort of have two creative jobs :) I love creating things!
@proverbs131: We did a waltz, we took private dance lessons and had this whole dance created for our first dance :) I'm lucky my husband loves The Princess and the Frog as much as I do, so he was definitely on board with the whole theme. Good luck with all the planning!
@nashanta: I've got to ask-how did your guestbook turn out? I just ordered mine from Shutterfly almost just like that style and I'm a bit worried if people will sign or not. I'm probably just freaking out.
But otherwise, your theme was so well executed! You looked just like a princess!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! I am sucha Disney Nerd! This is so beautiful! LOVE IT!
We are doing a Nightmare Before Christmas wedding at Disney. We'd talked about doing a masquerade ball with Beauty and the Beast undertones at a castle though :)
This is THE BEST "Disney/Cartoon" themed wedding I have ever seen! You guys are gorgeous and so are all these details. This is a perfect example of taking something simple that you have (a concept, a location, a mutal-love) and really making it yours.
Well done!
You did a fantastic job! And I just love how you found a castle for your Princess style wedding! :)
Love your theme!! So adorable!! Great pictures!! Congrats
Wow! Everything turned out perfect! Dress, cake and even the groom! Hubba hubba
I am REALLY late to this thread, but I wanted to say you looked beautiful, the venue was gorgeous, and I hope you post more!!!
LOVE!! I have been following your theme for a while now, and it turned out great. really like your DH's suit, and the purple and green table setting! AHH! so cute!! you did a great job of keeping it disney AND classy!
Congratulations, Im not a fan of Disney themed weddings but yours was beautiful, I loved all of your pictures a true princess
Thank you everyone for following my threads, and loving all our details and photos. We got a few more of our pictures from the actual ceremony.
The ceremony went perfectly. Everything was a blur. It was super convenient to have everything (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) in the same venue. Practically everyone who RSVP'd actually showed up. We had maybe 4 or 5 no shows! Which is great for any wedding!
Before I post the photos, I have to say I did an awesome job with the drawing for our guest book cover. After seeing this particular photo of us, I think I captured us both pretty well in my illustration!

And now for some more pictures! I also did my own hair and make-up for the big day (I had a make-up artist teach me how to apply make-up months before because I never wear the stuff lol). I think I did a pretty good job.

I swore I wouldn't cry walking down the aisle, and I didn't! I didn't tear up until we read our vows. We wrote our own, and I just couldn't hold back tears. My (future) husband handed me the handkerchief out of his pocket.

When I handed it back to him I believe my exact words in a timid teary voice were, "Here....it's gross now" And that's why we were all laughing.

The sand colors we chose matched the color of our wedding bands. My ring has yellow sapphires, and his has a blue opalescence inlay.

Getting married in a castle wouldn't be complete without the thrones! I love these pictures with our wedding party

@Jessy727: I made a cute little sign and framed it, and encouraged the wedding party to sign it, so when other guests looked through it they would sign. We had something on every page, but everyone didn't sign it. We still got a lot of "yearbook" like messages and paragraphs from people though, which was fun to read afterwards

@dewingedpixie: OMG! That sounds so cool. I can't wait to see all the little touches you come up with. I love Disney themes (obviously)
@Araya: Isn't he though? I need to buy him more vests. The man looks good in a vest and tie. And I LOVED the shoes he picked for the wedding!
@queencharlotte04: Our theme was very subtle I think. So if anyone didn't see The Princess and the Frog, they would just enjoy a beautiful wedding. But there were a lot of our guests who totally got the details. And even though we had a "theme" it still was very much a wedding, and not like a children's party lol.
