I haven’t had the chance to share with you ladies how my FI proposed to me… here it is:
I met my fiancé in April 2007 through Facebook. I had just created a group and he randomly messaged me asking how the group was going. From there we starting chatting. We met face to face a month later and we kept hanging out during that summer. He wasn’t looking for anything serious and I wasn’t either so we just took it as is. As time went on, feelings started happening for the both of us and in April 2008, we made it official. He is the best thing that could ever happen to me.
We went to Portugal in the summer of 2010 to visit family and to just take a break from everything, god knows we both needed it. During our visit, we went to see the castle of the first king of Portugal, which I always wanted to go see. It was so beautiful. On our way out, he wanted to take pictures of us with his camera in front of the King’s statue. I thought it was weird since I had taken some with my camera prior to visiting. So I asked some random guy if he could take the pictures. So while I was waiting for my fiancé to come stand beside me by the statue, he was telling the guy how to use the camera. Next thing I know, he ran to me, and I was all smile towards the camera when I looked at him, he was down on his knee with his hand up holding the ring! I freaked, cried, got chocked up, lol… couldn’t find the words to say anything. People were looking at us, hihi, when finally he said “would you marry me?” I cried even more and I said yes! The guy holding the camera took all the right pictures, from the moment he got on his knee to the putting the ring on my finger to the hugging moment. I later found out, that while my fiancé was talking to the guy, he was actually telling to not take any pictures until he was down on his knee. 🙂 That was the best vacation of my life and the beginning of my new life with my future husband! Thanks for reading.
