@Lauren10.8.11:  It’s been 6 years since my puppy was fixed, but I remember feeling super nervous as well.  Luckily, everything went smoothly.  She was absolutely fine when she came home.  Just a bit tired.  The day after is when she wanted to run around and play with our other dog.  It’ll just be hard to keep them from jumping and playing too rough.  Good luck!!

You know what, when we got our Weimaraner puppy fixed, I think she was about 4 months or maybe a tad over, she was a little “slow” when we picked her up, but she was JUST like herself by the end of the same day she came home. I think puppies can bounce back pretty fast, especially the fiesty ones. 😉 We had to actually keep her calm in her crate so she wasnt jumping around playing everywhere.

Awww. My puppy got fixed about 3 years ago and I was nervous all day! She came home that night and was groggy seeming (and she cried everytime she would move positions) which was sad to watch. The following day she was a little quiet, but didn’t cry at all just sorta laid around. After that she was back to her crazy self, and we couldn’t keep her from jumping everywhere as much as we tried. It will work out  and puppy will be fine in a few days! Smile

My baby wouldn’t stand up when she came home.  She stayed in her puppy bed and would just lift her little head when someone came in the house or came in the room.  She was different because she was healing, but then she perked right back to her normal self.  Within a day or 2 she was walking around we just had to make sure she didn’t run or jump.  I’ll be thinking about you and your baby Friday.  You will both get through it fine 🙂
