Weddingbee boards

After the pictures in our suite we were ready to start the party. Unfortunately when we went back to the banquet hall a lot of people had disappeared. It took 15 min for the groomsmen to scoop everyone up (I don't know why they didn't stay during cocktail hour :-() A lot of DHs friends went up to their hotel rooms to get hammered apparently... oh well we wanted a big party anyway!!! ;-)

Once everyone was seated we had our grand entrance.

The wedding party entered to the 'Friends' theme song - but only the BM and MOH really hammed it up like we asked.

We did our entrance to the Rocky theme song!

We had our first dance right away! We were supposed to dance to So Far Away by Staind and then our last song was supposed to be You and Me by DMB.... but the DJ mixed them up. So we did our first dance to You & Me, but I am actually happy about this because when Staind got played at the end of the night all of our friends were dancing with us and they were all drunk and singing along loudly - it was perfect!

We then had dinner and speeches. Right after the speeches I had my father daughter dance.

DH started out his dance as a formal dance then it turned into the chicken dance

..and then everyone joined in

We cut our melted cake... yup it melted! I will talk more about that when I recap details next. (It looks so sad)

Then the party came alive - our party was so good we had bridesmaids (also in pink) come over to our party multiple times. They even brought their bride over to see my pink crinoline!

All my girlfriends and I did a line dance to "Any Man of Mine" (it's our anthem - we play it during all of our girl trips). I couldn't do the line dance properly because my dress was too big so I had to wrap it around me and hold it up - I love the pics!

For the garter toss DH dressed up in hockey gear and his Leafs jersey and the DJ played the old Hockey night in Canada theme song. The garter was also a Leafs garter as a surprise to DH. Everybody loved it - it was great!

The party continued into the wee hours of the morning. Another thing that went wrong is that my bustle broke but it created a lot of cute pictures of me holding the train... like this one.

@sboston06: The angela Nurans were good - I did change out of them into flip flops at one point in the night but I didn't do it because of sore feet! Which was what I wanted! And I literally was on my feet from 2pm to 1am! They were wonderful! I actually wore them to a wedding a week later too :-)

@ritsi_bitsi: No worries! I used old navy flip flops and I bought a fake bouquet of white cherry blossoms from Michaels. I also bought some bling (jewels that can fit in the middle of the blossom). To make them I just pulled the blossoms off the bouquet and SUPER glued them to the flip flop and finally I super glued the bling. It was a super easy project!

However, use super glue - the first time I used hot glue from a hot glue gun and the flowers all fell off.

I made a pair for myself and a pair for each of my bridesmaids. And they held up really well I still wear them all the time!
