I think its a pretty dress and you have to be comfortable in it..Personally I think the dress is a bit too informal for a reception..It doesn't scream "this is the dress i wore to my reception" to me. But that's just my personal opinion.

I think its hard to tell from pictures, but it looks a little casual for a reception--but perfect for the rehearsal. Maybe after a good ironing you'll have a better idea?

The more I think about it, the more I think it should be for the rehearsal. I was on the fence of whether or not I wanted a reception dress at all anyway! Still loving the dress though, and it is crazy comfortable.
It looks adorbale on you! As far as being too informal for the reception, I think that all depends on the type of reception you are having. If you are having a really fancy upscale reception I think it may be too informal. But if you are having a low key nonformal reception it could work. I think it would be better to use as a rehearsal dress though.
I agree, more like a rehearsal dress but you'll be comfortable.

So, for those of you who missed out, The Limited was having a crazy sale. I managed to snag an awesome reception dress (and some pearl earrings for my bm's) for about $50! My gorgeous dress came in today!
I don't know what I was expecting as far as packaging (even though the limited always sends pretty packages), but I fell in love as soon as I saw the box!
They even included a sweet little bridal hanger! The dress was, of course, a bit wrinkly, but you can still get the idea of how it will look.
Then it was finally time to try it on! I ordered it a size smaller than I was because I have been losing weight recently. I love the dress and I am officially a size 6!
Do you think that it is too informal for a reception dress? I am playing with the idea of using it as the rehearsal dress instead (especially if I end you purchasing my dream dress). Let me know what you think!
