- Wedding: June 2013
Well… I have been married for almost 2 years, am finally having our wedding reception this summer, and to do one more thing “out of order”, I finally got my hands on a couple of sparklers.
Some background: My husband is a new immigrant to the United States, and because the nature of starting out is tough, we married with just a plain rose gold band (which I LOVE). I’ve never felt like I needed a big diamond (though, I wouldn’t reject it if one came my way, lol), but I have wanted something sparkly for a long long time. We’ve toyed with the idea of moissanite, morganite, and cz as an alternative to a more costly diamond, but with the wedding(s) coming up — yes, that’s right, we’re having 2!! 1 in Turkey and 1 in New York — we can’t really afford to invest in something that would even put us out a few hundred dollars (we are completely financially responsible for paying for the wedding in Turkey, so we are saving all of our pennies! — We really wanted to have a party in each of our home countries.)
In any case, I bought a couple of rose gold CZ eternity bands from amazon (and one more from KrisKate that I plan to return because it’s *tiny* in person) and I’m so happy with them. They are sweet and simple and so sparkly. It really makes me happy. Rose gold & CZ rings are super hard to come by — not nearly as popular as white gold I assume, but I’m happy with what I’ve found.
Here they are!
The first is one band with my original rose gold ring (which needs desperately to be cleaned!)
This is the two amazon bands together:
It’s hard to capture the sparkle in a photo, but they are really so lovely in person. 🙂
