Joyful2019 :  My cat didn’t like my MIL. When she was here visiting for a month the cat stole her good nursing watch. She was really upset, and searched everywhere – but never found it. The day she was packing to leave, the cat came strutting out with the watch in his mouth. To this day we have no idea where the watch was hidden – but at least she got it back! The rings are bound to show up in the weirdest spot!

Have you tried the fridge, cupboards, etc..? I’ve been known to put my phone, keys, etc… in those places automatically when really tired. What do you usually do after putting your child to bed? Have you checked baby’s drawers? Diaper bag? I’m sure they’ll show up eventually

Speaking of missing things…. Once my mom was watching the neighbour’s house and had a copy of their keys. As she went to water their plants and take their mail in, she realized she didn”t know where the keys had disappeared to. It took her a few days (and a couple dead plants) – but eventually she figured it out. The last time she’d checked the neighbours house, she’d also just been to the grocery store. When she was putting away the tomato soup, she put the keys in the cupboard too. The keys were behind all the cans of soup. So checking fridge, cupboard, drawers, etc… makes sense. Did you go to the kitchen to get a drink ? Go to the bathroom? Check cupboards and fridge – we use them daily and usually absentmindedly

bugsmomma15 :  I don’t know if you’re religious but whenever I lose anything I pray to St. Anthony and somehow he always seems to help me find things that I have lost in the weirdest places.

And if you want to practical, put a stocking over the hose of your vaccum and get to “cleaning” it will show up in the most unexpected place 🙂

bugsmomma15 :  pockets of any pants or tops you were wearing at the time?  I’ve had rings get stuck in the tiniest crevaces of pockets in jeans before.

I second ripping apart the chair and the crib.

What kind of flooring do you have?  Could they have fallen and ended up tucked near baseboards?  Also check your washing machine – if they were in a pocket maybe they ended up there?

For some reason, I’ve got the weirdest feeling that you need to check the crib again, especially if it has those bumpers on it? (I know I sound crazy, but I got an odd feeling about stuff sometimes)

failing that, the Laundry basket in that room if you have one xx

If you dropped it in your son’s room, or crib, could he have picked it up and thrown it somewhere, like with his toys?  Maybe check his toy boxes, his shoes, pockets of his clothes?

It’s either in the chair, way down inside somewhere, or its someplace really stupid  like hung on a little thing sticking off the lamp on the table next to where you were sitting, or in a dish that’s holding a candle, someplace your subconscious thought it woukd be safe.
