Hi everyone! I’ve been with Patrick for 4 years now. Soon after we met, he joined a Rocky Horror Shadowcast, and took on a lead role a Brad Majors. I also joined the cast soon after, as the official videographer. After the 2012 season, he decided he had outgrown is role as Brad Majors, and spent the 2013 season as Emcee.
On April 18th, we received a call from the director stating that the new actor who was supposed to play Brad could not, because his grandmother was sick. This was a lie, as it turned out. There was no other actor. He had come out of his retirement just to surprise me and propose to me at the most beautiful theater we have ever seen!
So during “Dammit Janet”, when it’s time to propose to Janet, during the line “here’s the ring to prove that I’m no joker”, he walks away from her. He locks eyes with me and walks so slowly towards me. He takes off his Brad glasses ad put on his real glasses. The producer, sitting at the table with me, hands him the microphone, and the movie stops.
Luckily, the whole thing was recorded!
Here’s a link to the video on youtube:
Here’s my ring!

Thank you Kate! I was so excited to share the video! 🙂 I realize that while he’ll get to see me walk down the aisle… him walking off stage towards me, that is the moment that I will get to cherish for the rest of my life.
