THAT is an awesome proposal!!!! thanks so much for sharing and I wish you the best of luck and love! :)
What a great proposal! And I love that you have pictures to always remember the event. Congratulations!
A) you are hott
B) I'm jealous of your proposal. My FI is sitting next to me and I said "I want you to do that." About 3 years too later
How adorable and thoughtful! That's the first time I've ever heard of a proposal story like that, I love it! Congrats to you both and welcome to Weddingbee!
Thanks everyone. The idea was really creative especially since I changed the plans last minute. Again he had the proposal planned out for v-day but at Houston's which is where we went for our first v-day together but of course when his sister suggested there I shot down the idea b/c we had been there before and I wanted to try something new sooooo I changed it to Medieval Times 2 days prior to the day and he had to figure something out last minute. So actually I planned my own perfect proposal without knowing. He had no idea that they had a engagement package until he called inquiring on how it could be done there. We are truly happy at this time and planning is moving right along. I added a pic of my ring but it didn't come up.
Awwww.....your FI is soooo super wonderful to dream up such an amazing proposal! Congratulations!!!!!
This is amazing - you will have to save these photos and show them to your daughter's boyfriend someday (in like 20 years!) and tell him that her daddy made YOU feel like a princess and your daughter deserves nothing less! How special!!
Was that at the one near Discovery Mills?
What a wonderful story and fantastic photos! One question..did you cry? And DEFINITELY get us that ring pic!!!
I had my son's b'day party there and he got "knighted". The king they had was awesome...very king-ish, but imho looked like George Carlin.
WOW!! I can't believe there is a proposal "package". And thank goodness there is since you changed his plans! :) I think its so great!! You look so happy - Congrats!!
What a cute surprise!!! Very original :) Congratulations!!
btw is this at the Medieval Times in Duluth? I used to live right there :)
Awe, that is absolutely wonderful! He must be a great guy to be willing to go with the flow even with you changing the plans on him
It was the Medieval Times at Discover Mills. I did cry when I got it as a matter of fact I cried so hard that I couldn't even see my ring when I said yes. My eyes were too blurry. I eventually got a better look at it when I got off stage and went to the bathroom. I attached a pic of me with my blurry eyes and also a pic of my ring that I took with my cell phone. I will try to get a better pic to post.

My FH and I have been together for 7 yrs and have a 5 yr old daughter together so needless to say I never thought the day would actually come that he would propose. Well he proved me wrong this past Valentine's Day. Usually we get together with 4 other couples and we all do something together but this time it was different. His sister called me up and said this year we are treating the guys for v-day. In my mind I'm thinking why? Its not leap year. The plan was to actually surprise the guys and take them out but not tell them. I was cool with this. What I didn't know was that my FH had planned this whole idea himself to surprise me with the proposal. I decided we would all go to Medieval Times since no one had been before and the tickets were buy one get one free (SCORE!!!). What I didn't know is that his sister told him and he called ahead of time and booked the engagement package through them. Well on V-day we get there and he is very excited. He's acting like he had no idea we were going there. Once inside he wandered off but that didn't send off any red flags b/c he does things like that. He came back and informed the group that he signed up to get knighted. Again that seemed like something he would do so I'm still clueless at this time. We all circled around the stage waiting on everyone who signed up to get knighted but I didn't see him. I figured with the crowd he was just mixed in. The next thing I noticed was that 2 guys dressed up in all the medieval attire walked out playing their horns and guess whose walking behind them? Of course its my FH dressed up also with 2 more guys behind him. At this point I'm thinking he paid extra money for the outfit. He goes on stage and they call me up also but being that I witnessed others getting knighted and their women on stage with them I figured it was routine. They dress me in some kind of cape and they proceed to knight him. After being knighted he was officially in the "Kings court" and was informed that the king has granted him one wish and at that time they passed the mic to him and IT HAPPENED!!!!! HE PULLED OUT THE RING BOX AND ASKED ME TO MARRY HIM!!!!. All in all the package included the proposal on stage in the outfits, engagement photo session, champagne and 2 beautiful, expensive toasting glasses, and we were announced during the show.
