Ok so FH and I weren’t going to do save the dates… I mean… they’re optional… Word of mouth works just as well… and heck… who wants to pay to make them AND pay for postage.
So. Today I am walking through Michaels past the dollar bins and find these Harvesty / Fall looking Recipe Cards… 20 a piece for 1 dollar… so to have 20 to practice and 120 for my max amount of guests it was a whopping 7 dollars. Add a gold ball point pen… silver ball point pen… 1.99 a piece.
Add in 33.60 postage for 120 stamps for post card postage and I got… this…
The pics are horrible as they were taken on my cell… but they read this:
From the Kitchen of: Kristen & Brian
Recipe For: Eternal Love
1) Take Starstruck Love
2) Add 2 helpings of Devotion
3) Mix in 2 different Backgrounds
4) Add Coffee, Chocolate and Time *we have coffee night, play a game with chocolate and those are our theme… Coffee & Chocolate*
5) Top with 1 sweet little boy *my son, 7, who he will be adopting*
6) Stir until Fully Blended
SAVE THE DATE!
Then it says Oven Temperature : 10/9/10
Time: 11 AM
What do you think?? Cheesy? We are having an autumn harvesty wedding
Total cost: 44.58

I think it’s a really sweet idea 🙂

Very nice. But I had a hard time even just hand addressing my envelopes, let alone writing all those cards! Have fun!

They’re awesome! Love it!

Love that recipe. Good luck on all the handwriting.

Ha. I figure if I mess up enough on the practice ones, FH who has BEAUTIFUL handwriting and calligraphy training will step in and take them over. Either that or this will be the perfect “get your hands dirty as my bridesmaids” project for after dress shopping on December 13th. Either way ty for all the support, I am PLEASED as punch with them as I feel they just fit right in… and as far as I’m concerned dirt cheap.

Oh. And I’m an idiot… I have 120 guests but lol I was counting everyone individually. I can return almost HALF of them… and that drops the postage down too…

Cute and original! Perfect! 😀

i think they’re cute but i personally would get carpal-tunnel syndrome trying to complete these! I’d try to recreate them on a template and print them. =)

Lol I am too cheap for the ink lol
Is it really that costly? I printed our STDs and did magnets and spent maybe $30.

Honestly idk krissy… that is excellent… I think I need to update my printer because it drinks ink… DRINKS it.

Those are really sweet! What a great idea… I’ve never seen a STD like this before! 🙂
