So I ordered these three shoes from zappos earlier this week, and they arrived today! I chose them all because they were a simple style, and were relatively inexpensive (each were $45-50 at zappos).
http://www.zappos.com/annie-aquarius — ordered the 8.5 in white satin & width “W”, and it was too long. But the width is perfect for me! Plus there’s no toe cleavage (a pet peeve of mine). The shoes have a point to them, but nothing too pointy for my taste. I like it. Ordering an 8 to see if that will work better! I love the color of the shoe, it kind of glows… 🙂 It really seems perfect for my simple white ballgown dress.
Looking at the picture, I thought they might be boring, but no–they were just stylish enough for me. Ohhh and the best part–they were SO comfortable. I didn’t want to take them off… these are the most comfortable pair of heels I’ve ever worn.
http://www.zappos.com/unlisted-secret-file-white-satin — Platform, a little too much for me to deal with in a big ballgown dress! I don’t wear platform shoes often (or really, ever…), so I don’t know if this is standard–but when I was standing, I’d be level, but then when I’d take a step forward, I felt off-balance. I don’t know how to explain it. It was like the front half of the shoe wasn’t level with the floor. I don’t know if you can see that by the photo.
I’ve worn Unlisted shoes before, and the size 9 (M) was good for me–but the platform height and not-level walking would be too much!
http://www.zappos.com/product/7240827/color/728 — Got size 9 (M)–was a really tight fit on my foot! Plus my toes were all smushed together and lots of toe cleavage–not a big fan! The height of the heel was a bit much too. (I’m about 5’5″.) They are pretty heels though–very shiny.
