I think that looks absolutely perfect with your hairstyle. Very crafty of you. =]
adorable! I just bought some birdcage netting from an antique store (well it was attached to a hideous hat). I removed it and now it's time to start playing with it to make my own veil. Great inspiration - thanks! Maybe I'll do a headband too...can't decide yet!
I love it! It's like ... exactly what I want for my wedding. Want to make me one? ;P
@daydreamwanderer It wasn't hard to make, just time-consuming. Heck, maybe I'll put this one up for sale in the Classifieds after my wedding :)

Check out my handiwork! I ordered the headband from Etsy, and the Elizabeth birdcage veil from http://www.somethingbold.com/Elizabeth.htm
I messed around with the veil, pinning it to the underside of the headband, until it looked the way I wanted. Then I stitched it down to the felt underside. I also loosely stitched the edges of the veil to either side of the metal headband because otherwise it stuck straight out like a visor.
As you can see, my hair is really short, so I didn't want a huge fascinator or a big poofy veil. What do you think?
