We are having tiny wedding next August. My dress is not full length or white and I don’t want a full veil (I may have a pill box or tiny bird cage veil at most).
So want a bouquet to show Im the bride.
The total number of guest stands at 4 great friends. My best friend is male and is doing the honor of giving me away so there are no bridesmaids flowers to think about. My fiancé is going to be wearing kilts and collar less linen shirt rather than a suit so I don’t think a button hole is needed for him.
Due to tiny tiny budget and traveling 2+ hours to the registry office and the reception/bbq/party being two days after. I think that silk flowers are the only way I can go but the question is what will work with the dress and the shoes?
This is my dress knew it was the one as soon as I saw it (I tried on white dresses and there just not for me)
These are my shoes.
They are the ones trust me I tryed on lots of plain shoes and lots more. They dont go with the dress but I love them and there very me and I am a loving girl.
I have seem two bouquet that I like but dont know if they will work in silk or with what Im wearing.
The black and white might work to pull the shoes in?
This one is fun and I think thats why I like it.
Does anyone have any other ideas.
Do I go for colour or not?
Simple or over the top?
Or some thing just diffent like this maybe:

I LOVE the first bouquet you posted, and I think the white/black is going to be perfect with your dress!

I think either of the flower bouquets would work well. They just give off different impressions. The black and white is more “matching,” formal, grownup (though not losing your unique wedding flair, that’s for sure). The colorful one makes me think more… punk rock. Haha that’s the best way I can think of to describe it.
So which do you want your wedding to feel like? Black & white or punk rock? 🙂

I like the black and white one! Definitely ties in the shoes, works with the dress and is on the simpler side, given your outfit has a lot going on (I don’t mean that as a bad thing, promise!)

I’m crazy for your dress and shoes…LOVE THEM! I think you can go either formal or funky (I really like the feathers). Is your fiance wearing a tartan or solid kilt? You could pull a color from the kilt.

I would go with the really colourful boquet as a splash of colour, and maybe you could add a ribbon in your FI’s tartan? That’s a beautiful dress – where’s it from – also LOVING the shoes!!

Your dress is beautiful…..I am really liking the 2nd one you posted!!

Since the rest of your attire is, in your words, very different, I would go traditional with the bouquet. White calla lillies or Picasso calla lillies (below) to bring in the purple from your dress.

This is the tartan for his kilt. Its called black watch and its a battle tartan rather then a family tartan. I like the idea of putting the tartan as ribbon around the bouquet.

@rainbowbee: I like that idea too. If you use the tartan I would go with something simple like the white and black bouquet. 🙂

@rainbowbee: Oooh nice tartan! IT will go with your dress perfectly! I would be tempted to try a headpiece with some of this on. Maybe an alice band with a birdcage veil attached.

rainbowbee: ooooo love the Tartan !! Black Watch is one of my faves.
And IMO it coordinates so well with the “purple” in the Picasso Calla Lillies that LittleRiver: has shown above.
I think it would tie everything together nicely… and certainly convey the bridal element you are looking for. Agree a strip of tartan wrapped round the stems would be a nice touch.
Hope this helps,

I LOVE the first pic of the black and white bouquet!! It’s so elegant and pretty and simple and won’t distract onlookers from your dress!

Does it work?
Im for the Uk and the dress is from a shop called Phase eight.

@rainbowbee: Ahhhhh – good old phase eight! I love that shop – it’s always on my list when I pop home! Boquet looks great like that!
