i did! my friend scheduled a test on the date of her surprise bridal shower. she had to pay to take this test, so we had to convince her to reschedule it and waste her money, and we tried to tell her that she needed more time to study (which was true, she hadn't studied at all, she always waits till the last minute). everyone trying to convince her along with her family coming into town tipped her off... but it was stilll fun!

...her surprise baby shower!
She's youth group leader at our church. We were supposed to have a Christmas party for the youth group, but it was moved due to snow. The day she picked? This Sunday afternoon. Smack dab over the baby shower her MIL planned. Oh snap.
So, guess whose job it is, as assistant youth director, to call all the youth group members and tell them to tell my sister that they have to say they can't make it? *raises hand* Yep. Moi. I totally didn't sign up for this, but that's what I get for nagging my sister to get pregnant for three years. :P
Right now my mother, sister, BIL, BIL's parents, and I are all conspiring to get her to cancel tonight. Phew. Wish me luck!
Has anyone else had to perform serious logistical acrobatics to make a surprise bridal or baby shower work?
