Do you know for sure how she is changing her name? Is that with First Name Maiden Name New Last Name? Or is it First NAme Middle Name New LAst Name?
I dropped my maiden name altogether and kept my middle name, but some people drop their middle name and make their maiden name their middle name…you may want to see if she knows what she is doing yet and you’re using the right one!

Hi Bee’s –
My sister is getting married 6 weeks after I am. I was about to order the monogrammed necklaces and bags I am getting for my Bridal party…then I thought oh wait I’ll just order my sister’s in her new monogram. Then I realized it’s spelled “aSs”.
Of course none of the girls know this is what I was ordering, but I just don’t know if she would want that. How would you feel if your monogram was ASS…?

Is it possible to get just AS or her first name instead? I wouldn’t want to rock the aSs monogram.

KitKatNYC: I was thinking about doing that. But I didn’t want to exclude her. Maybe I should just drop everyone’s monogram and just put their first name.

I am confused. Why would your sister’s new, married monogram include the initial of her husband’s first name? I’m not trying to be rude in asking this, but I wouldn’t think that any woman would consider her new, married monogram to include the initial of her husband’s FIRST name.

antisocialite: GREAT point! It’s First name, New Last Name, Husbands Name….more like a family monogram. I am going to call and see what she plans on doing with her new name. In one secnario it would still be ASS but if replacing her old last name with her middle name, then it would be fine.

I dont know how helpful this is but it could be an insider joke between you all? I would find it hilarious but I can be kinda crass. If that’s not your idea of a fun time, I say drop a letter and you’re good to go!
