Unlike most girls I grew up without my father and although my mother married when I was about 12 or 13 I've never ever considered her husband my dad or even a father figure. When I was 15 I had my son Spencer and he in a way was the first man in my life. Over the years I've always told him that we've actually grown up together and for a while he was more like a little brother to me than a son. Well he is 14 now (Yikes he's old) and I only think it fitting that he give me away. Actually it's him or no one at all. When I asked him what he thought of the idea, just like a regular teen his response was nothing less than comical. I told him I want him to give me away to his dad at our wedding and he looked up at me kind of confused and said, "what do you mean give you away to daddy? Don't you think you should at least get a couple hundred bucks?" I LMAO and explained to him what the term meant and he got a good laugh and said "OH OOOOOOH well that's different yeah I'll do for you, as long as let me throw daddy's bachelor party." HA HA HA HA HA I have absolutely have zero problems with that one.
