My Mum is in a same sex relationship, and through IVF her partner is pregnant and I just got a call to say her waters have broken and contractions have started, so they are going to the hospital.

I'm so excited because my flower girl is being born today!!

I already have 3 sisters, (1 bio, 2 step) so this little one makes 4 sisters for me! (she is legally my half sister, but no bio relation)

I'm so happy for them, they really struggled to get pregnant with IVF, it took 8 rounds I think. Plus my mum's partner is 45 next week, so her age was against her. This is her first bio child and she is so excited!

My mum and her partner have decided to name her Isabelle, and call her Bella for short.

Hopefully she has a quick and easy labour so I can go visit tonight, otherwise I luckily have all of tomorrow off work to go visiting!

Step mum's contractions stopped, and the baby showed no signs of moving anytime soon, so the doctors sent her home. Hopefully the labour will begin naturally overnight, otherwise she will be induced at 8am tomorrow morning.

@MsMamaBear They are naming her Isabelle. SM's grandmother was called Bella, so that will be her nickname. I can't wait to meet her!!

Update!

So..the baby wasn't born. The labour stalled, so my step mum was sent home. Then the next day she went in to be induced, and the labour still didn't start!! So they sent her home again, and she is just waiting. my Step mum says she is so over being pregnant, she is so tired, and enormous.

So the baby has till thursday 15th to make an appeaerance, as thats the due date, and the docs won't let her go past due to her blood pressure. I'm hoping she will be born this weekend so I can visit lots. Either way though, less than a week till she's here!!
