My sweet little hamster just died and I am so, so sad right now. I know that may sound silly to some of you, since it was "just a hamster" but I really loved my little pet in the same way many of you love your dogs and cats. She was so sweet and cute and tonight she died in my arms and it was just awful. I am trying to put together a little box to lay her in and I can hardly bear to do it. I miss her already. :(

@Juliepants: I am so, so, so sorry. I was at a friend's house for a few weeks when her hamster passed away. I even cried and she was an absolute mess. It's such a shame. (hugs)

Awww, Juliepants, I'm so sorry *hugs* I know how you loved that little buddy, and I always smiled seeing that cute little ring picture. I hope that FI can help you with the box/burial. I had a guinea pig when I was young, and I know how much you can love the furballs. I hope you feel better soon, dear.

I'm so sorry, I have seen you post pics, and I know how much it hurts to lose a loved pet, no matter the type. You will be in my thoughts. I agree with the other posters, she had a wonderful life!
Aw I am so sorry. Losing a pet is terrible. My dog has been sick for awhile and we have debated putting him down for the last month or so I cry just thinking about losing him but I worry he will start to suffer. I had a hamster when I was younger and was crushed when i lost him
I am so sorry for your loss, my heart is sad for you. I saw a few days ago the pic of Captain Morgan with your ring on her head when you posted it on a ring porn thread, it made me giggle at such a cute sight.
I'm sure she brought you a lot of happiness and you'll treasure those memories of her. No matter what type of an animal is, it's loved by someone. It's not silly at all for your to mourn your lil Captain Morgan passing. I'm sure she'll always have a special place in your heart.
@Juliepants: I am so sorry for your loss. My husband had to put our hamster, Quibbles, to sleep due to cancer 9 years ago. It was so sad. Those little furry rodents really are fantastic little guys to have as pets. They are just as much family as a dog or cat. ((hugs))

I am so sorry! The loss of any pet is so heartbreaking. I lost my rabbits in my arms, and it was so sad. She was so gorgeous!
So sorry for your loss, those wee rodents can be incredibly affectionate pets with so much character and loyalty. She looked like one of the best.

Awwww that is the cutest little thing I am so sorry! There is no such thing as "just a hampster" or "just a any pet" we love them all the same no matter what.... you have to get another pet it will help! try a ferret they are awesome! Hugs to you... you will feel better soon

I'm so sorry for your loss! :( I am crying too knowing how difficult the loss of a pet is. Especially when you are a compassionate pet mom like you seem to be! It looks like she was given a wonderful, luxurious life with you! She was so beautiful! And from the pictures it seems like she was a happy little hampster full of character. I hope you allow some time to mourn and for your heart to heal from this loss. I don't think its silly at all to be grieving over the loss of a hampster (or any type of pet). My thoughts are with you! <3

So sorry to hear about your hamster... Doesn't matter if it's not a dog or cat, our pets are family and there needs to be a mourning period.
Remember the good times you shared with her and know what a happy and lucky life she led having someone who cared about her as much as you did/do :'(
