I like just the red petals because it looks more natural.

I prefer the contrast between the red petals and lavender tealights and votives.

i like the pop that the red petals give to it.  the lavendar ones seem to be washed out and i don’t care for the mix of the colors.  red definitely and lots of it!  🙂

Hi PurpleUnicorn, sorry I have a few questions… I’m asking so I can envision the entire table.

    1. What are the style of the tealight holders you are using?

    2. Will there be anything else on the table with color, like menu cards?

    3. What color are the napkins?

So far I like both color petals. Real petals are not as expensive and the scent is great to have. How many tables are you decorating?

i definitely like the look of the LOTS of red petals. i think the lavendar petals are too “blah” with the lavendar tea lights and votices. i definitely like the contrast with the red.

Ok so since your traveling I understand about the real petals. I asked about the # of tables because you could have purchased the roses and picked them yourself for the petals. But that is out since your traveling.

It is typically nice to add color not only in the centerpiece but the linen also that is why I asked. That way it’s not just color in the middle. I have attached a picture so you can get a visual.

Menu cards informs the guests of the meal they will be served whether seated or buffet. This is a nice touch and an easy DIY project using cardstock and scrapbooking paper. If you did this in your coordinating colors that can also add to the table setting.

I also added a sample of the tealight candle holder. There are holders specifically make to hold the candle, it gives it a more cleaner look. Ikea has a nice inexpensive collection. Good Luck.
