If you've got a lot of negative Nancys in your crew then just start telling everyone the dress is a surprise. If you love it and know that you'll feel beautiful in it on your wedding day, it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks about it.
Well and that's the thing. I dress up enough to know what looks good on me and what doesn't. I don't have a track record of wearing trashy or unflattering things. And there's a level of confidence needed here. If you Love what you're wearing, that will portray in andof itself!
No one is seeing mine either. Nor the decorations, the center pieces, etc. except for my MOH (my sister) whom is very supportive and honest..when I ASK her. The rest of my family sucks in this department and always has something NEGATIVE to say about EVERYTHING...always has. So I choose to just not tell them anything! Some things really are better left unsaid!
Even if you had a track record of wearing trashy or unflattering things - aren't you supposed to "look like yourself" on your wedding day? :) lol
The only person I want to look beautiful for on my wedding day is my FI. Everyone else can keep their opinions to themselves. :D
More power to you! I wish I could have been closed lipped about my dress, but I was just too excited. lol.
You're right. They look way different on real people than hungry models.

Just when I think I've landed on a dress, someone wants to see it and then makes a comment about it that they don't like it, or like another one better. SO ANNOYING! Dresses in pictures look SO different on real people (and people with curves at that), they really have no idea what they're talking about!
Take it all in stride, take it all in stride...
When I DO finally choose MY dress, no one will know what it looks like till the day I walk down the aisle. :)
