So I noticed one of the newest bees is named Miss Starfish... so come October 2010.... Two Mrs. Starfish-ies?? Anyone else have that? Made me a little sad... that's me!

I know DG PMed Ms.Starfish about it so maybe you should talk to her to see if you can do anything! Good luck! :)

Well, it's not actually the same name, you're MRS Startfish and she's MISS Starfish! lol  It's all good :0)  By the way Myrtle beach.. that's where I got engaged!! I live 3.5 hours from there, and we're actually planning to go in 2 weeks! lol

But back to the Starfish thingy, don't worry about it!  I'm mimosa and there's a miss champagne, not the same thing.. but similar.

Althought she is Miss Starfish, I think her actual username is just "Starfish."  So, when she posts on the boards there will only be you!  I think the blog comments has the Miss/Mrs. designation though.  Sorry. :(

Hmm... I remember that they chose not to create an icon for a new bee in one of the categories (possibly the dog generation?) because someone on the boards already had that name. I'm sorry yours was overlooked - perhaps they'll let you change your username a bit to distinguish? (The only person who has changed names on an account was Mrs. DG - other than the bees when they're accepted - but hey, it's worth a shot)

I was asked to change my username when I first started because someone else already had the name I chose.  I just created a new account.  Don't worry, the second person will probably be asked to create a new account.

I agree, see if you can change your name...otherwise, no major worries...the hive will pay attention and know who is who ;)

Yes, there are lots of users with similar usernames, but don't worry because you won't get lost in the shuffle! Avatars really help differentiate you too :)

It's just a risk you take when you choose a "Miss ____" name that a future bee generation might be themed along the same lines.
