What did you do with your veil after the wedding?

I kept mine and am having it preserved in the same box as my dress.  The person who is doing my dress cleaning and preservation mentioned that in addition to loaning it to other brides, sometimes women repurpose their veils for other things, like christenings.

Are you going to sell your dress?  If so, and if your veil wouldn’t fetch a lot on resale, it might be nice to keep it so that you would have something to pass on to a daughter or niece if you like.  It’s a beautiful veil!

I had my cathedral length veil custom made and plan to have it preserved with my wedding gown. Since yours isn’t long, I’d keep it for sure.. maybe wear it around the house sometimes 😉

I’m keeping mine. Out of everything I have I hope that someone in my family gets use out of it in the future.

I might put it in a frame. It’s a feather fascinator with a birdcage veil. It’s so pretty, I would hate to hide it away.

I’m going to alternate wearing it and my doctorate cape (my affectionate name for the enormous velvet academic hood) to wash my car on weekends.

@Overjoyed:  HAHA!

Mine has been sitting in a bag with my dirty dress since October. No idea what to do with either one.

Seeing this made me realize that I don’t know where mine went… I remember my MOH handing it to me and telling me not to forget it but I think I might have left it at our hotel! Oh well… It was a cheap one anyways.

@Txgrl-inChicago:  I’m keeping mine. It was my mom’s which I updated, and hopefully one day there will be another female in my family that wants to use it 🙂
